Jo

"I need to speak to her."

Alexis folded her arms over her chest, looking over at Fred and then at me shortly after. "What am I supposed to do about that?"

"Just ask her where she's staying," I pleaded, "please."

She shook her head. "Obviously you got yourself into a mess-"

"That's putting it lightly," Fred muttered, leaning against his wall.

I looked over at him and he just folded his arms over his chest.

"What could you have possibly said to her that made her not want to speak to you, Jo?" Alexis asked.

"Pass."

"No," she said, shaking her head, "that wasn't an option."

"Jackson and I got into it," I said, shrugging.

"Jo embarrassed the fuck out Lena," Fred deadpanned.

"What did you say to her, Jo?" Alexis asked, her arms folded over her chest.

"I s- i-it wasn't directly at her, it was at Jackson."

"If I have to ask you again what the fuck you said to her-"

Fred cut her off with a smile, his eyes boring into her.

"I told Jackson that while he was in all those other women, I was inside his fiancée."

"No, I think the correct term you used was buried inside your fiancée."

My eyes round, I looked over at Fred. "Not helping."

"What the fuck, Jo," she exclaimed, her eyebrows in a furrow, "how did you think that was going to help anything?"

"I was reacting in the moment," I said, shrugging, "I had no time to think."

"Wow, I wouldn't have known if you wouldn't have told me," she said, her big eyes boring into me.

"Listen, I know I didn't help anything," I said, "you don't have to tell me, but I'm asking you to just call her-"

"Jo, that's a hole that you have to dig yourself out of."

"And I will, if I can just find out where she's staying," I said, following Alexis into the kitchen.

My phone was blowing up, but I couldn't have cared less.

"You gonna answer that?" Alexis snapped, looking over at me.

"If it's important, they'll leave a voicemail."

She just cocked an eyebrow up at me.

"Alexis, come on," I said, "how many times have I helped you out of-"

"Josiah King," she cut me off, "let me stop you right there, none."

"Okay, well pretend like I have," I said.

"I can imagine why Lena doesn't want to speak to you, so."

"Fuck."

I pulled my phone out of my pocket. I was irritated by the constant vibrating.

I held my finger up to her and pulled my phone up to my ear to listen to the voicemail.

"Hey, it's Logan Anderson. Call me when you can."
