Week later
Watching E casket drop into the ground messed with Hassan and Mahkailin head. They just couldn't believe another one in they circle was gone due to gun violence. The group of four was now down to two they couldn't help to think was one of them next.
"Cousin, niggas gotta feel me after this shit. Know what I'm saying? Fuck we got guns for if we ain't gone use em?" He said to Mahkailin and Mahkailin nodded in agreement. He hasn't let a word out since it happened.
"Our nigga really gone Kai." Hassan said to him as Mahkailin wipes his face looking at the black casket. He put his hand on Hassan shoulder before leaving him. He thought on what he said. Killing the people that did this. He wanted revenge but the real question is.... is he cut enough to take another man life? He didn't know himself but all these recent deaths in his life made him have anger that desperately wanted to come out.

*"He's not talking to anyone right now." His mother said to Tooka who had a frown on her face.
"Please can you let me try to talk to him." She asked while popping her gum rolling her eyes . He never talked about a girl before but if this what he likes me and him need to have a talk like ASAP. His mother thought and opened the door for her.
"I know he's hurt from this the only friends I knew that he had was-
"E and Terell and Terell died last summer, I know it's why I'm checking on him." Tooka cut her off.
"Hold on lemme speak to him real quick." She said going to his room.
I know she ain't just cut me o- she walked up to Mahkailin and whispered. "If you talk to lil ratchet before you talk to me I hope you know we fighting." He rolled his eyes at his mom craziness sitting on his bed in silence looking at the floor thinking of way how he could have prevented it from E death from happening.
"Kai, you got someone that wants to see you." His mom said taking the plate of dinner he haven't touched off his dresser and replace it with breakfast she just made.
"You need to start eating, this plate need to be cleared or I'm shoving it down your throat." She said while opening the curtains in his room and turning on his t.v.
"Jaion wants to see you, you know. He misses his big brother." His mother informed and sighed when she didn't get a response. "You know what if you could get him to talk I am truly grateful for it." She said before leaving closing the door.
"Mahkailin I'm sorry your going through this again." She sat next to him. "Your isolating yourself in your room at a time like this is gonna lead to depression. Trust me you want to be anything but that, it sucks." She told him.
"You don't want to talk to me? That's fine I'll talk to you instead. You just listen. That's cool?" He made eye contact with her and nodded.
"Okay. E auntie stopped me on the way here. She wanted me to give you this. Said he would have wanted you to have it." She handed him a cardboard box. "You want to look inside? Well I'm nosy so I'll do it for you." She said shrugging. She opened it grabbing the first thing she seen.
"She dropped this in the box when she gave it to me. She said he was getting his old chain fixed to give to you and another one to Hassan. Put it on." She put it on for him and smiled.
"Aw okay you think you fine wit that chain on." She joked. "It ain't no lie that." She said and a he broke out a smile.
"Oh it's a book. More like a journal." She said about to flip through it but felt like it wasn't her place. She handed it to him and he held it.
