Difference (*Ackley Bridge*)

TWENTY TWO

When I started to come around the lights from the hospital ward room were blinding me completely, I looked down at my body to see that I was in a patterned hospital gown and I had one cast on my left hand and a white bandage on my right, I tried to sit up but I was in so much pain it was indescribable, I looked to the side of me and saw that on the wall the clock read that it was twelve thirty and I didn't have a clue whether it was half twelve at midnight or half past twelve in the after. When my vision was starting to come back to me properly I saw a woman with long blonde hair wearing black trousers, a white blouse and a black denim jacket.

"Hello sweetheart." The soft voice said and when I heard that voice I started to panic and get restless but it hurt me so much to move, the woman came over to my bedside and stroked my hair softly to try and calm me down but I was having none of it,

"Get off me." I hissed at her viciously

"Leeanna please don't be like this not right now." My 'mum' said to me and I just rolled my eyes.

"Why are you even here?" I asked her

"I got a phone call saying that you were in a car accident and I had to come and see you." She told me I watched as she moved my hair away from my face so that it was out of my way,

"How bad am I injured?" I asked her curiously

"A couple of cuts and bruises on your head, one broken wrist, the other one is sprained and you have five broken ribs. You took the front of it all Missy and Nas were considerably lucky." My mum explained

"Where are Missy and Nas? I want to see them." I said to my mum and just like that the two of them walked into my room with smiles on their faces.

"You may think you have it bad but I have two broken wrists. I won't be able to brush my hair, do my makeup or wipe my bum." Missy joked which made me laugh even though I was in pain

"How are you both?" I asked them seriously

"We're fine, like your mum said you took the worst of it Lee." Nas told me

"I still don't understand how you are here? Who called you?" I asked my mum quite harshly but she didn't say a word she just looked over at Nas and that was all the confirmation that I needed to know.
"You called her?! Why?" I snapped

"You didn't have anyone to be with you when you woke up Lee! I panicked I had to do something you were in a coma for three days!" Nas exclaimed,

"You didn't have to ring her! I would've been fine on my own!" I snapped at her

"Don't take it out on Nas Lee she was only looking out for you she was right to call me." My mum said and I scoffed

"Well I don't need you here! The woman who was been in prison for the last few years for grievous bodily harm, and as for you Nasreen I hate you I won't forgive you for calling her." I snapped and I saw Nas' face fall

"Lee I-" Nas tried to talk but I didn't care

"Get out all of you. I don't want any of you here!" I exclaimed

"Lee!" Missy said highly in shock,

"Just get out!" I screamed which made them all jump but they did as they were asked and every single one of them left my room. I turned away from the door and I cried my eyes out, I saw my reflection in the mirror beside my bed and how ugly I looked which just made me cry even more. When I was feeling a bit better and a lot less angry Missy came into my room and sat on the edge of my bed with a small sympathetic smile on her face,

"You know she meant well don't you?" She asked me

"I know but she knows how scared I have been about seeing my mum and still she decides to go and call her." I said in frustration
