Evelyn's Pov

Blayne had left along with the four other boys. They decided to go to heir cousin's lake house for the weekend. I was invited, but I was seriously not up for going with a ton of boys.

Now, I sit in the living room with Blayne's mom and grandma.

"You know, you've really changed my son Evelyn."

"I have?"

"He was horrible until you came along." She says.

"Oh, he couldn't have been that bad. Not compared to me." I whisper the last part, but Miranda caught on.

"Isaac told me all about you. And, what I think is: you did everything for your family. Blayne did it because he could." She explains.

"This is true. He stole stuff because he could. He graffitied buildings because he could. All because Isaac is his dad." His grandma, Maria explains.

"I'm glad I could help, but I'm not so much better." I shrug.

"Dear, you had a reason."

"But, I shouldn't have done it."

"You shouldn't have, but you felt that you had to. Right?"

I nod.

"You had to feed your siblings. You take care of them, Eve."

"Yeah, but what I did was still bad. I'm a bad person. And there's nothing that I can do to fix that." I sigh.

"My dear, I have a secret for you." Maria says.

I listen to her.

"Sometimes, Bad Can Be Good."

I raise a brow.

"What once was pure and polished becomes rusted, yes?"

"Yes."

"That means, what was once rusted can become shiny and new."

"So, what's good can be bad. And what's bad Can Be Good?"

"That's exactly it." She smiles.

Who knew that Bad could be good?
