Farra's head whirled around in circles. Exasperation was setting in, and haze settled in her brain, blocking her ability to think clearly. Bella's words were a pool of oil spill on the surface of a vast ocean, blocking sunlight from reaching the depths of the seabed.

"It was Maimunah's prayer mat. She gifted it to Eiden on their engagement. And now, it is in your hands. Hold on tightly to it, Farra."

"It was Maimunah's prayer mat. She gifted it to Eiden on their engagement. And now, it is in your hands. Hold on tightly to it, Farra."

Farra could still not grasp what was meant by Bella, but she was too afraid to ask. She was scared to be judged as "dumb".

"Farra. Have you put the pot of ayam masak merah on the table?"

Bella's question snapped her from her trance. Farra turned to face Bella.

"Yes Bella, I just did."

"Are you sure you did?" Bella asked, her eyes narrowed towards Farra.

"Yes yes, I did. I already put it on the dining table." Farra ;looked over to the dining table, just to make sure she did her task well. A wave of satisfaction washed over her as she saw the pot, standing tall and proud on the table.

Bella sensed something was off. She walked over to the dining table. The pearly white ceramic pot, adorned with beads of colourful flowers at the side, rested on the dining table. The dining table was made out of black, Calacutta marble. Bella remember choosing the particular marble, as it is one of the oldest and most desired building materials in the world. The use of marble in construction goes as far back as the Greco-Roman era, where marble was used to not only construct grand structures, but also as tile to decorate lavish floors and hallways for kings.
She was not one who foolishly spends money on luxuries, but this was her favourite exception.

Bella felt satisfied with the pot on the table, and whirled around to leave the room. Her hand accidentally hit the edge of the pot, and the pot shook lightly.

"Wait, if this pot was full, it would not have shook," Bella thought, debating with herself whether to open the pot or not.

She finally decided to open the top of the pot, wanting to confirm her suspicions. As she suspected, the pot was empty! The pot was completely clean, as if it had been just been washed. Bella was completely confused at Farra's demeanour, who put the pot on the table without filling it up with ayam masak merah first.

She took hold of the pot and walked again towards the kitchen.

"Farra, this was the pot you put on the dining table right?"
