Thoughts raced through Sophie's head all saying the same thing No. Not him. Not now. Then a thought emerged through the panic: why is Biana with him? That thought shook Sophie, why her best friend was with the person they all agreed to ignore. That was the thought to make Sophie forget about her home crystal and pathfinder in her pockets, making her stand still and wait for the verbal beating to start. Unfortunately Keefe froze too, standing slightly in front of Sophie still  holding her hand.
"Fitz stop!" They heard Biana scream as she got dragged after him holding onto his arm, her feet helplessly trying to find a hold among the shifting sand "You know this isn't right!"
"How could you?! After two days! You couldn't even wait a week?! Was I not worth it?" Fitz yelled at Sophie when he got within ten feet of her. Sophie and Keefe remained frozen as Fitz started to get in their faces "I don't even care about me! But the fact that the most skilled elf in history would be seen with such garbage disgusts me." Fitz said getting into that erie calm state, even if his words didn't reflect the same emotion.that snapped Sophie out of it real quick.
"Really? Because I think people everyone said the same when I was dating you" she clapped back stepping in front of Keefe, who was still in statue mode
"Thats just not true, but I have heard whispers on the street about you and it" Fitz said failing to wave aside a crying Biana who was still trying to tug him away.
"Well now I know you're actually delusional. Me and Keefe haven't even gone on ONE date, and no one is going to go screaming through the streets that me and him are dating. So unless you personally went out and made sure that everyone in the lost cities knew how horrible we were together, literally no one knows." Sophie pointed out
"Maybe I did. The people deserve to know what horrible people you are choosing to associate yourself with"
"That's it! You can come after me all you want, tear me to the ground and leave nothing left emotionally and physically but Do.Not.Touch.Keefe" Sophie had snapped, she wanted absolutely nothing to do with Fitz Vacker ever again.
"Aw that's cute," Fitz turned to Keefe "you need your wittle girlfwend to stand up for you" he shoved Sophie, hard, right into a huge pile a selkie skin. She felt it squish beneath her as she landed the black goop, it Oozing around her
"ENOUGH!" Sophie shouted. She already had quite enough anger stewing inside her so inflicting was easy, and after her training with Bronte she could finally pinpoint her target and inflict on a certain person. In her anger she imagined a little seed of red hot anger getting planted in Fitz's mind. It was a lot like outward channeling and as she fed the seed fitz crumpled to the ground clutching his head. Keefe had finally got back to the real word to help Sophie up
"I'm so, so sorry, I- I should have help I could have done something I just, I just-" he started rambling
"Hey, its fine. I think I handled it pretty okay, if I do say so myself" Sophie turned to point to fitz to find him gone. He probably leapt away like the coward he was. instead Biana sat on the ground, head in her hands as she sobbed "Biana, sweetie what's wrong?" Sophie asked kneeling down to Bianas level
"I-it's. it's all. All my, my fault!" Biana sobbed
"Okay I think I got that but I need you to take a few deep breaths before we continue, okay?" Sophie stated the rhythm of breaths that Biana slowly joined in on. After a minute or two the brunette could speak coherently.
"Alden wanted to know why I was ignoring Fitz so I told him, and I told him you guys were going on a date and, and Fitz must have heard or something I don't know but he barged in to dad's office and he stared yelling and as he grabbed his pathfinder I tried to grab him but I didn't do it in time and then-well then that happened" Biana gestured in front of her wildly pointing to where the whole scene went down
"It is so not your fault," Keefe piped up "that you have a crazy brother who can't deal with things properly"
"Yeah, and we know that you're not like that,so why would be mad at you?" Sophie said looking into Biana's eyes, which reminded her too much of Fitz's, she had to look away
"Because......because I let him come here?" Biana whispered, grasping at straws
"You did nothing of the sort. You tried to stop him." Sophie pointed out
"Hey, but now you're here you wanna watch the selkies with us?" Keefe said trying to cheer Biana up
"Uh, of course! But..you guys are on a date..." Biana said not wanting to third wheel
"I think the mood kinda got killed, but we can still have a fun time as friends" Keefe said holding a hand out to Biana and helping her get up. As they were walking down the beach Sophie grabbed keefe's arm and whispered in his ear
"Hey we need to talk after this." Then in a much louder voice "Biana look! That ones purple!" Pointing to a barking selkie laying on a rock. They had a lot of fun that afternoon but as Sophie stepped into the light to whisk her home she had one thought
