"Okay" Sophie nodded along to Sandors speech not really listening
"So if you ever want to ride a majestic pick fluffy narwhal, you have to find the six magic rings first" Sandor droned
"Uh hu- wait what? Narwhal?" Sophie asked
"Just making sure your listening" sandor continued with his boring lecture
"Look,can we do this later? I really do want to see lihn and Tam" Sophie said interrupting something about goblin throwing stars
"First of all,I don't like being talked over. Second if you were listening you would know I was done" sandor said
"Great! So I can go" Sophie pulled out her path finder and grabbed sandors hand,waiting for bo to come over and join them. They appeared in lihns garden of the new house that had gotten. The council usually made people wait until they were about 21 and out of the elite towers to buy houses,but because of the twins odd living situation and how the fended for themselves for so long,they agreed to let them move at 17
"Lihn! Nice control" Sophie called out
"Oh! Hi Sophie, I didn't see you there" lihn said with a soft smile "what brings you here?"
"I just wanted to see you guys. We never hang out now that we aren't kids anymore. Though I suppose that's going to change now that our...issue has come back" Sophie said walking over to lihn,who took a deep sigh
"I can't believe they're back." Lihn looked down,obviously remembering all the horrible 'adventures' the group went on in their early teens
"Well,lets just savor the few moments we have before things get to serious" Sophie said "what are you doing?"
"I'm weeding and watering the garden" lihn made a small rain cloud that went back and forth over the planters box a few times
"Wow. Well I can't do that,but I can help weed" Sophie said
"Really?How nice of you. I hope it isn't too much trouble" lihn said
"No,Not at all" Sophie reassured her
"Okay,then. There are some tools in that shed over there if you need them" lihn said. Sophie grabbed some gloves and a few small tools and got to work,chatting and laughing with lihn the whole time. There weren't to many boxes so the girls were done in a hour or so. Lihn suggested some lushberry juice inside,so they headed toward the kitchen
"Thanks" Sophie smiled as lihn handed her a bottle and they both sat down in the living room "is Tam hidden anywhere around here?" Sophie asked
"I think he's up in his room,doing who knows what. Would you like to go get him?" Lihn asked
"It would be nice to see him" Sophie said
"Okay,lets go try to coax him from his den of darkness" lihn got up motioning for Sophie to follow. She lead them,upstairs and to the very end of the hall way,where it seemed darker "tammmmm, Sophie's here! Be a nice host and acknowledge her existence!" Lihn called through the door knocking
"Uh,fine." Tam opened the door and stepped into the hallway. He gave Sophie a once over,smiled the smallest smile Sophie had ever seen and said "there,existence acknowledged. Can I go now? No offense Sophie,but I'm kinda working on something"
"Ooh,here's a deal,I'll let you go if you tell me something,an answer to a question" Sophie said sticking her hand out for him to shake. Tam seemed to weigh his options
"Fine" Tam finally shock her hand
"Hey,Lihn" Sophie said in a sing-song overly happy voice "would you be the most wonderful person in the world and make me a snack?" Sophie asked,she wasn't actually hungry,she just wanted to get Tam alone,and Tam seemed to notice this narrowing his eyes and shaking his head lightly at Lihn
"Of corse! I know just the thing" lihn didn't see tams expression as she walked away quietly humming to herself
"So,this thing must be big. What's the question?" Tam asked crossing his arms and leaning against the doorframe
"Never were one to beat around the bush,were we? That's one thing I like about you Tam. Now the question at hand is:how do feel about Biana?" Sophie asked
"Oh? That's it? Well,lets see,she smart,and pretty,and capable,and selfless,always goes after what she wants,is pretty cool all around. I like her. Why?" Tam said trying to cover something in his tone
"Like her? Or like her?" Sophie asked
"Um,Is there a difference?" Tam asked,sounding genuine
"Like her means you have a crush. Like her means you see her as a friend" Sophie said
"Oh. I don't know?" Tam said
"I doubt that. Do.you.like.her?" Sophie asked
"Yes! Now leave me alone!" Tam said throwing up his hands in defeat
"Pleasure doing business with ya" Sophie said
"Sophie! Your snack is done" Lihn called from down stairs
"Oh my goodness,you're a life saver!" Sophie called,she did the "I'm keeping my eyes on you" hand motion to Tam,walking down stairs. She sat next to Lihn in the kitchen looking at what she had made. They looked like cream puffs,in a small tear drop shape,golden brown on the outside. Sophie wasn't that hungry but she picked one up anyway,taking a small bite. The cream inside tasted like heaven,marshmallow yummyness,the outside tasting the a gram cracker almost,and it had a small chocolate goooie center. It was like a just off the campfire s'more. She shoved the rest in her mouth
"Lihn,this,this is amazing" Sophie said picking up another and eating it in three huge bites
"Thanks. I made them myself. I call them chocopuffs. Name is still in the working." She blushed. Sophie ate the whole tray,but decided to slow down a little and chat with Lihn as she snacked. They talked and laughed until Sophie realized what time it was when she looked at the navy blue night sky.
