I finally get what you mean (a foster-keefe story)

This means war

"Okay now we just have to let it bake for 30 minutes! While we wait lets make frosting." Sophie said popping the cake into the oven and setting a timer
"OoOh I know what frosting is and it's delicious." Keefe said getting a stand mixer out from the cupboard. Thank goodness Forkle had gotten some human ingredients and Machines after Sophie had gotten home sick a little while ago
"We need to make it buttercream. its my favorite type of frosting." Sophie said crossing her arms to emphasize her point
"But of course, anything for the queen" Keefe said bowing low
"I'll only be queen if you're the king" Sophie couldn't help but say
"Finally someone gets that I'm a king!" Keefe exclaimed
"Just go get the powdered sugar" Sophie said rolling her eyes.

"Hey! Get your fingers out of my frosting!" Sophie said swatting Keefe's hand a little too late. They were done with it, and as soon as Sophie had stopped the Machine, Keefe had seen an opportunity.
"Hey it's pretty good!" Keefe said licking some off his finger "we did it Foster!" He stuck his finger back in the bowl
"Stop that!" Sophie said
"No, really foster try some!" Keefe extended his hand looking like he was about to feed her but at the last possible second he wiped it on her nose
"You're dead sencen" Sophie narrowed her eyes and scoped the bowl off the counter. Screaming in a battle cry fashion she scoped three fingers in the frosting "three seconds to run" Sophie barely finished the sentence before Keefe bolted. Sophie gave him about a second and a half before she fallowed him into the living room yelling fake warnings
"Ah you chose the hiding route....I see" Sophie said as she entered the living room,she paced around till she saw a tufted of that perfectly styled blond hair behind the couch. She stalked up wanting to surprise him, but as she was ready to pounce he whipped around and sprung up grabbing her hand in one smooth movement. She dropped the bowl to the side. not spilling any thankfully
"Ah you chose the hiding route......I see" Keefe mimicked her voice perfectly. Sophie looked him up and down looking for an escape and saw his knees which were right in front of the couch arm. She put her whole body weight behind her pushing Keefe back onto the couch Sophie falling on top of him. Keefe was surprised at first but then he relaxed as he fell softly on the couch.
"Now you're the one that's trapped" Sophie said smugly
"Am I now?" Keefe said. Sophie looked at him confused then as suddenly as he grabbed her hand he flipped them so that Sophie was the one with her back to the couch "didn't notice" Keefe said with a smirk. Sophie felt.... happy. Which was odd, since she felt like she might be annoyed. But all she could think about was how close they were. All Sophie had to do was lift her head slightly and there lips would be together. She looked up to see Keefe looking at her lips, his head slowly drifting down so that Sophie could push him away if she wanted. She didn't want to. He was so close she could feel his hot breath on her cheek and lips
"Can I-" Keefe got cut off my the timer going off in the kitchen
"The cake!" Sophie said jumping up pulling Keefe with her "we have to go get it before it burns" she said, cursing the cake and picking up the frosting bowl.

*time skip to when they're done frosting the cake and are sitting of the couch*

"Blanket hog" Sophie said putting down her cake on the coffee table and yanking some of the blanket off of Keefe "we're supposed to be sharing" Sophie said, annoyed
"Well then come a little closer" Keefe said lifting up him arm and inviting Sophie under it. Sophie scooted closer and put her head on his chest so that him arm was around her
"Better" she said pulling the warm, soft blanket under her chin
"I was kidding...." Keefe trailed off
"Well next time you'll know not to joke about such things" Sophie stated as she looked up, her eyes locking with Keefe's beautiful ice blue eyes. Sophie broke eye contact feeling awkward and saw Keefe blushing.
"You're blushing!" Sophie said untangling her hand from the blanket to point
"Am not" Keefe said turning back to his cake
"Uh I have a photographic memory and I can project. You want me to prove it?" Sophie tried to call his bluff
"No! No that won't be necessary" Keefe squeaked "I blushed, okay? Like you've never done it" Sophie just rolled her eyes and grabbed her cake starting to eat the rest of it.
"What do you think?" Sophie asked trying to break the silence
"Eh, not as good as mallowmelt" Keefe said shrugging
"Nothing is as good as mallowmelt" Sophie pointed out. Again silence, but this time it was a comfortable silence with them just enjoying each other.
"Truth or dare?" Keefe asked
"This again? Last time it ended in disaster"
"I wouldn't say that, because you know, we're together because of it" Keefe pointed out
"Fair enough. Truth I guess"  Sophie said
"When and why did you figure out you liked me" Keefe said sitting up and making Sophie face him
"About.." Sophie did a quick count in her head "three weeks ago? Probably a little less then that. I realized it because I was alway really uncomfortable showing affection towards  Fitz when you where around. I think my heart always knew, and my head was just being dumb" Sophie said awkward
"Hmm. Well my turn, truth I guess" Keefe said scratching the back of his head
"When did you start to like me?" Sophie asked
"Well, I realized it when we where flying on silvenys back to get your abilities fixed. I just looked at you in the moon light and felt the switch. You looked absolutely magical, and so determined. Your personality is amazing too so that helped. I think you were the first person to ever point out our world wasn't perfect, you defied the rules and make them your own you shook our whole world at the age of 11" Keefe winked knowing how much Sophie hated praise
"Wow. Ok my turn, dare" Sophie said changing the subject before she could blush anymore
"Ooh, I dare you to close your eyes and I get to make you do whatever I want. Nothing dirty though, I promise" Keefe crossed his heart
"Ugh, fine" Sophie squeezed her eyes shut prepared for the worst, but instead she felt Keefe slowly put her hand in his own and come closer to her almost as if to whisper something in her ear. Then she felt the frosting. He smeared it form her left eyebrow all the way to the corner of her mouth
"Pay back!" Keefe laughed
"You jerk! I can't believe you!" Sophie said trying to wipe off as much frosting as she could
"Revenge is a dish best served cold" Keefe smirked
"What did I do? You're the one who started it and I didn't even get you back!" Sophie reminded him
"My turn! Truth" Keefe directed the conversation
"What's with you and truths? You seem like a dare type of person" Sophie said giving up on trying to remove the sticky glob off her face
"I'm playing it safe. Especially after I did that to you" Keefe reached up and wiped off some of the frosting from Sophie's face emphasizing his point
"Fine. Why did you never like Biana back?" Sophie didn't want to stir up drama. She really didn't. She was just honestly curious of why he never fell for the beautiful Brunette.
"Going straight to pathetic deep stuff huh? Well I guess I alway thought of her as a little sister, not as a romantic interest. I really like Biana, just not in that way. Like you and Fitz, before the whole......thing happened" Keefe said not meeting Sophie's eyes. Sophie snorted
"Why are you so awkward about this? It's not that big of a deal, she likes someone else now." Sophie laughed again
"I don't know. It just seems like a weird thing to talk about" Keefe slowly joined in laughing with Sophie, and it was like that all night. Them talking and laughing and having a great time.

also sorry this chapter is kinda terrible because I had really bad writing block 🤷‍♀️
I think I'm back in my groove after this chapter,but it's also 12am so I might just be going crazy
