Girls Love to Shop

Gracie's POV

It's been a week since I've returned to work and since that sizzling make out in Jason's office. Neither of us talked about it or avoided the subject, instead we went about our normal routines. Just because we didn't talk about it didn't mean I wasn't thinking about how great it felt to forget my fear of men and get lost in Jason's arms.

For the past few days that was all I wanted, to be back in his arms but Jason hasn't attempted to kiss me since. Sure there was an occasional kiss on my forehead or my cheek but not that earth shattering kiss. I think he wants to give me some space so I don't freak out but dear God I want him to grab me and crush his lips to mine and continue where we left off.

Sighing at the thought, yesterday I was thinking about going up to him and making the first move but when I entered his office I chickened out.

"What's on your mind kiddo?" Jack asked as he slipped behind the counter beside me

Quickly shaking my head I said "Nothing just nonsense."

A knowing smile spread across his slightly wrinkled face, a smile so similar to Jason's. It's the same smile Jason gives me when he knows exactly what I'm thinking.

"Where's Jackie?" I asked noticing she wasn't here

She's been late before but it's nearly noon and she hasn't shown up. Jack leaned against the corner looking like a teenager without a care in the world rather than a middle aged man.

"She has the day off because unlike a certain waitress she uses her vacation days." he said raising a brow at me

"I do use my vacation days, just last week I used them." I replied

"Jason made you or you would have been here." he shot back

He's right but I didn't want to admit at the time I was worried about money and how to provide for Sarah. Jason has been overly generous and sometimes he goes overboard.

"So what do you think she's doing on her free day?" I asked trying to get the subject off of me

Jack shrugged his broad shoulders rolling "I have no idea what women like to do."

"They like to do their nails and gossip while shopping with their bff's, duh." Liam said in a high pitched voice which I think was suppose to be an imitation of a girl

"Not all women are like that." Jack shot back still chuckling at Liam's imitation

Liam -who had his head poking out of the pickup window- rolled his eyes before turning to me. "Hey Gracie do you like shopping?"

I wanted to say no just to prove to Liam not all women are alike but I do like to shop although when I rarely went out with Ben trailing behind me I always had a budget. A grin formed on his face taking my silence as a yes.

"See." Liam gloated

"You wonder why Jackie doesn't like you." I mumbled turning my back to him

"Low blow Gracie." he whined

Shrugging I peeked over my shoulder and smiled innocently causing Liam's expression to soften.

"No fair your using your cuteness." he groaned playfully
