CHAPTER 14 : MEMORIES

"Calista! " napalingon ako sa taong tumawag sa akin.

It's Dad who's shouting my name, eh sino ba naman ang hindi sisigaw para lang tawagin ako? Duh! I'm on my earphone.

Napa kunot noo naman ako sa gesture nitong binibigay, he's banging his head like tinatawag nya ako.

"Come here Princess.." malambing nitong saad.

Tumayo ako sa pagkaka upo sa couch sa living room at lumapit kay Dad.

"Hi Dad. You seems Happy today, may I know why? " ngiting tanong ko.

"Princess you know I'm always Happy, but today is different happy." Dad smile is bright.

I frowned at him.

"What's different happy? I can't understand you Dad. You creeping me out. " Dad just laugh at me.

Again. I frowned.

"Don't be Princess, because today my Best friend, Donnieto just arrive this morning. " may pasipol sipol pa ito.

"Donnieto who?" I asked.

"Princess, Donnieto is my Old Friend and He's your Tito. At masaya ako ngayon kasi kasama nya ang buo nyang pamilya." I frowned when Dad walk and Kiss Mom na kaka baba palang.

Looks like Mom is Doned scolding Ate Jane and Ate Jinny, well they're fighting over a thing, it's a simple fight mom said.

"Hon, Donnieto is Back." may sarili yatang mundo ang dalawang to.

Pero bago pa ako maka alis sa kinatatayuan ko lumingon si Dad sa akin.

"And guess what Princess? They're going to have dinner with us tonight. " I don't have to say something. Masaya si Dad eh, so that's make me.

"Okay. " anya ko at ngumiti.

Napakunot naman ang noo nito at lumapit sa akin at sinilat ang noo ko kung meron ba akung sakit.

"Dad? What are you doing? " takang tanong ko dito.

"Your not sick, but what's with 'okay' to you today? " ginaya pa ang boses ko nito.

Sumama naman ang mukha nito and I don't know why.

"Bakit ganyan lang yung reaksyon mo? I mean, you hate visitors cause they are loud, that's why you always wear earphones and your Mp3..this is the first time you seems okay with that. Your not my Princess.."

I let out a heavy breath and stared at my Dad.

"Dad, " hinawakan ko ang kamay nito at ngumiti. "I hate visitors, but those are your friend. I can see your smile na abot tenga, at saka... I can risk everything just to make sure that my Dad is Happy.." malambing kung anya dito.

Dad eyes become tearful.
Yamakap ako dito.

"You really are my Princess" napangiti nalang ako sa sinabi nito.

"Such a cry baby. " mahina kung bulong na parang nang aasar. Well I am.

Narinig siguro nito dahil bumitaw ito at nakasimangot nang humarap ako.

I laughed.

"I'm not. How dare you say that to me, I'm your Father. " nakasimangot parin ngayon ito.

"Yes, you are Honey.. " singit ni Mom at pumasok sa Dining area.

Ako naman ay natatawa naring sumunod kay Mommy.
