I was in Greece.
Me, a broke ass drug buyer living in the slums of the city was in Greece for a honeymoon with my husband.
I think it was going fairly well.
When we got off the plane, we had been taken to a luxurious hotel, with fountains, gold and everything.
I had barely any luggage, and when I mentioned it to Gabriel he said we would just buy anything I needed.
It must be nice having money.
As I lay in the plush silken bed, face buried into the pillows I feel a dip beside me.
"Babe, time to wake up." he said. I groan and lift my head.
"Why do you call me that?" I ask, catching him off guard. Kade paused,
"It just came to me. Why? Should I stop?" He asked. I shook my head.
"No reason. Just wondering." I replied. It actually made me feel a bit warm inside, but I would't be telling him that.
"Come on, it's your honeymoon get up and enjoy Greece while your here." suggest Kade, nudging my side. I groaned and gave in, sitting up. I wasn't wearing a shirt either.
"I need clothes." I whined. Kade just chuckled and booped my nose.
"More the reason to go out. We can buy you some more clothes." Said Kade. "For now you can wear my shirt."
I slipped on his simple gray t-shirt as we left the well conditioned hotel. Back in America it was pretty cool, it was fall after all but in Greece it was a tad warmer.
We left and browsed the streets for a while. It was the funnest thing I've done in ages, now that I lived a more relaxed lifestyle and didn't have to care for-
Mom.
I had forgotten all about her in my adventure to Kade and the kidnapping. Guilt struck me when I realized I didn't even know what happened to her body. I didn't realize I had started to cry until Kade touched me, concerned.
"Hey... hey don't cry. What's wrong?" He asked. I shook my head.
"Nothing. Let's go." I said. He gave me a nod and said,
"I'm here if you need anything." I smiled and assured him I was fine.
When the day was over, we had bought some clothes and new items for me. It was so tiring, but I would be staying here for a week.
"Tomorrow I have planned for us to go to the beach- if that's ok." announced Kade back at the hotel. I just nodded, tired.
"Alright..." yawning I crawled into bed. I lifted my head when Kade crawled in next to me.
"What??" I asked. Kade twisted his lips.
"It's a honeymoon... there's err, one bed." He said. "I'll stay on this side if it comforts you though." he added with a rush. I hummed a soft reply, and quickly fell asleep.
"GABRIEL! Wake up!" shouted Kade as he shook me. There was a scream, and I realized that was me.
"What... what happened?" I mumbled blearily, panting and sweating through my pajamas. I groaned and sat up.
"You had a nightmare. Or something." said Kade as he crawled over to my side of the large bed. I winced.
"Sorry if I woke you up." I mumbled but he shook his head.
"Don't worry. It's ok. You should try and go back to sleep." he said, bringing his arms around me. I buried myself deeper into him and tucked my head into his chest as I tried to remember the dream. There had been memories... mostly of my mother.
"We..." I began, tired again. Kade rested his chin on my head.
"Hmmm?" he asked.
"We... never had our wedding night." I mumbled falling asleep, slightly aware of him stiffening beside me. Then sleep took me and I couldn't catch his response.
