AS SOON AS THE BELL RINGS
indicating that class is finally over, i hurry back to my dorm and flop on my bed. i grab my phone and check my texts.

hey can u pleaseeee help me study for the history test

kenzie
no i'm exhausted

johnny
please kenzie, i really wanna pass

since when do you care about your grades?-

johnny
i'm begging you, plus you get to see my beautiful face 😏

i roll my eyes and get up. i put on one of maddie's hoodies that i stole. if this was nadia or annie asking for me to help them i would say no, i'm so tired

but i hate to say this, but johnny is my best friend. we have been friends for 3 years now. he's annoying and flirty which makes him even more annoying, but for some reason i can tolerate him.

we make a really odd pair. he's pretty popular and plays basketball, and i'm lazy and not popular at all. i admit... i am smart. our parents are best friends.

i slip on my white vans and make my way to the lounge dragging my feet along the carpet.

i spot johnny sitting on the blue couch with his laptop open, he's wearing a huge hoodie

i fall on the couch next to him and and say
"alright so there are 3 topics we need to cover..."

i shut my eyes out if tiredness

"first you need to read like 5 pages then take the online quiz, it's-"

"i'm sorry do i know you?" a strange voice says

i open my eyes and look beside me.

"holy shit. i'm so sorry, i thought u were someone else"

my cheeks turn really red. i look around and see johnny in the end of the lounge laughing so hard.

i stomp toward him and grab his laptop from his lap.

"stop laughing or i won't help you" i demand

"that was hilarious" he says

"let's get this over with" i say and roll my eyes
