Rain

There is something pacifying about rain
A sweet release of all the pain.

That has been hidden deep inside
By the summer sky , for it cried.

Not for itself, but for the living below
To sustain it through the high and low.

As it trickles down every inch of the being
Quenching the yearning desires, freeing.

Selflessly caressing the sweet probability
Of a definite tomorrow with all its humility.

Oh look ! Can you see it welling up uncontrollably?
Rising above the need, inconsolably.

Oh look what you have made it do
You had no idea, of what it could do

Cause it can swallow you whole mercilessly
For all the advantage you took, remorselessly

Nothing can be self-sacrificing forever
For all the ignorant, its lost endeavor.

Won't back down from making itself felt
Loud and clear till you mend how you dealt.

Else, unashamedly it will devour you
For it expected a saint, not a devil from you.
