The stars will guide us
With all the light they have
With all they could find
They will burn out
Through the years
Of burning and illuminating
The path ahead, all sight
But will give us something
To go on and about.
The eternity they put in
To witness the changes
All around them
To change in the process
To be a better guide
To be a better part
Of this ever-changing cosmos
To light up our day
And to a somnolent night.
Of all the unspoken dreams
That they hold onto
Our secret wishes
As they shoot across the sky
Carrying them on
Without a blotch
Throughout our life
Above us, following us
Untill we fulfill them.
A remainder of promise
A conjecture of trust
The glowing balls of fire
That ignite one's passion
To yearn for all that we want
And fight for all of it, always
Under the stars as our shield
Made by our little pledges
Stuck on this glass panel of a sky
To lead us, to our destiny.
