Connor found himself at the Zen Garden once again, ready to make another report to Amanda. The garden was in a beautiful weather this time, but calm as always.

"Hello, Connor." Amanda greeted. "I thought you might enjoy a little cruise..."

His eyes wandered around the beauty of the garden, near the small bridge there was a canoe which Connor stepped in, sitting right in front of his patient handler. He grabbed the oars and started rowing the canoe.

"I love this place..." Said Amanda while holding a beautiful parasol. "Everything is so calm and peaceful. Far from the noise of the world... Tell me: what have you discovered?"

"My relationship with Lieutenant Anderson is problematic." Connor started. "He continues to struggle with psychological issues... I suspect it clouds his judgement regarding deviants. Both him and Miss (L/N) seem to share some kind of trauma involving androids. Miss (L/N) is willing to cooperate, but I think she's too insecure about it... But maybe I can help by trying to convince Lieutenant. "

"Nothing matters more than your investigation. What's happening is too important." Amanda bluntly said. "Don't let Anderson, or L/N or anyone else get in your way." The woman noticed the confusion painted all over Connor's face, perhaps a new concern blooming. "You seem... lost, Connor. Lost and perturbed..."

Connor couldn't hide his thoughts, so he was sincere about them. "I thought I knew what I had to do... but now I realize it's not that simple..."

"You had your gun trained on those deviants at the Eden Club. " Amanda said. "Why didn't you shoot?"

"I don't know..." Connor responded. He wanted to make an excuse for that, but unfortunately that was the truth. "I don't know."

The short canoe ride came to an end. They stopped for a moment. "If your investigation doesn't make progress soon, I may have to replace you, Connor..." Amanda warned.

"I know I will succeed. All I need is time"

Connor sure understood, but some part of him couldn't accept the idea of a replacement. It would be a waste, obviously, but Connor is still confident about his abilities. He has to go through his personal conflict if he wants to satisfy Amanda's expectations on him.

The atmosphere suddenly changed, alarming Amanda's senses. "Something's happening... Something serious." She said. "Hurry, Connor. Time is running out."

Connor stepped out of the elevator with Hank after that. "Hi, Hank." A fellow cop greeted.

"Shit, what's going on here? There was a party and nobody told me about it?" Hank said.

"Yeah, it's all over the news, so everybody's butting their nose in..." Said the cop. "Even the FBI wants a piece of the action..."

"Ah, Christ, now we got the Feds on our back... I knew this was gonna be a shitty day..." Hank complained. "So what do we got?"

Connor went forward to the crime scene while Hank was having the details about it. That floor was pretty bustled, a lot of people was interested. And after uncomfortably meeting Agent Perkins, the duo finally started investigating the area.

"Uh, let's have a look around... Let me know if you find anything." Hank said to Connor.

"Ok, Lieutenant."

Connor turned on the android live recording hours ago on the massive screen. "'...We ask that you recognize our dignity, our hopes and our rights. Together, we can live in peace and build a better future, for humans and androids. This message is the hope of a people. You gave us life. And now the time has come for you to give us freedom.'"
