You busted into your own house like a hurricane, tossing your keys and shoes on the sofa. Your feet are frozen, your toe nails are blueish and you just want to bury this stupid dress in a trashcan.
You rushed to your room as soon as you could. Not even thinking about closing the door, you just collapsed on your bed, and then... you cried. So much. You promised yourself in the past that you'd never cry over a man ever again, but there you are, crying over a man that's not even human. But you are, and no one's made of iron.
The feeling in your chest is confusing, that kiss really messed you up, somehow. Before that happened, you were already starting to wonder if there was really something else between you and Connor that everyone noticed except you. Because after what Hank said, you became more aware of such "signs" that he pointed out. But what makes you more frustrated is that that kiss meant nothing to him, just like many other things as well.
A while later in a car not too far from your home, Hank was on his way to check you up. He let Connor come with him after some insistence from the android.
They finally came to your house. Hank sighed, then looked at his partner. "Stay here."
Your godfather easily managed to get inside with the copy of your keys. Everything was silent, the place was tidy except for the shoes and keys on the sofa, and a few paperwork on the coffee table.
"(Y/N)?"
Obviously you wouldn't answer, he thought. So he went upstairs and headed to your room, the door was open, and he could see you lying in bed.
"(Y/N)?"
"Go away." You said in melancholia.
"I came to see how you doing..." Hank said as he walked in. He sat on the edge of the bed, right next to you. "Come on. Spit it out."
"It's nothing." You looked away. "I'm fine.."
He snorted and smirked a bit. "Yeah, right. Well, if you're not gonna say anything then I'll tell Connor to leave.."
"Is he here??" You looked up at Hank.
"He's waiting in the car. Want me to call him?"
"No! I don't wanna talk to him." You returned to your previous position. "I don't even wanna look at him..."
"He really did you wrong then.." He said, then he looked down at you. "C'mon, (Y/N). I know I can be grumpy and impatient sometimes, but.. You know you can trust me, right?"
You sighed, then sniffed. "You were right, Uncle.. Maybe I was really into him."
"How come?"
"Back at the party... Connor kissed me."
"Kissed you??"
"Yeah... And that moment I felt something.. different, y'know? But when I asked why he did that, he just said he only did it to make me less nervous... and that it meant nothing to him... He clearly didn't think about my feelings, if it was okay to do that."
"So he hurt your feelings... Now that makes sense." Hank said. "Well.." He tried revise his upcoming words. "You can't expect a man to guess what's up with you.. We're dumb! And I'm sure Connor didn't mean it, poor guy doesn't even know what he did wrong..."
"Fuckin' android..." You grumbled.
Hank smirked. Even if you don't share the same blood with him, he can tell that you're more like him than he thought. "You're gonna be fine. Trust me." He said. "You're strong."
