You're Y/N L/N, a great student with average grades at DUAT College. Four years ago? A police officer. But your insecurities got you kicked out. Your godfather, Hank Anderson, knows why. And so do you, but you have your own perspective...
Today is a very special day, not only for you but also for all dedicated students. It is easy to anticipate nervousness when it's graduation day. You calm down by thinking that other people are feeling the same way as you, after all, things have changed fast. Maybe too fast. But in a good way, of course.
It has been three weeks since the great android revolution. And you can say that things look quite different than before. The first few days were a little strange, some people were still absent and unsettled about the androids; it would surely take a while for everything to return to normal in Detroit. You just hope that people will understand and respect the new event.
It could've been worse, though. It could've had blood, deaths, a real war. But it was an uphill battle, which yielded a lot of peace in the end. It is still unbelievable that so much has happened in such a short time. You didn't even have time to think about your life after the revolution as DUAT returned with classes two days after the event. You have studied and practiced hard, and now you will finally get your reward. Thank god, because you finally won't have to worry about books ever again.
The ceremony will take place at the DUAT stadium, which is the place where sporting events sponsored by CyberLife usually take place and will begin at 1:30 p.m. The good thing is that you don't have to worry about being called to prom, as you did in high school. You spent the morning doing your skin care, as you hardly slept last night due to anxiety about the ceremony. Especially about the speech you would have to present, and so far nothing decent has come to mind.
The relationship between you and Connor, things are still uncertain. You didn't have a moment to talk properly with each other, since your studies really took most of your time. Connor was understanding about that, and in fact, he even supported you in taking a break from work to focus on the finals. At this point you have already accepted that you have some kind of loving feeling for him, which makes you feel strange at the same time. Is it okay to like an android like that? And you still don't have the full version of Connor on that subject, just what he said that night at the CyberLife warehouse.
A current pop music was playing through your speaker, you bounced your head to the beat with a soft smile on your face as you put your white dress on the bed. You were wearing a towel and another towel was on your head, your clothes were ready and now all you needed was a good makeup on your freshly moisturized face. And after applying a very light layer of foundation and concealer on your face, you were dealing with the eyeliner, still trying to get those sharp lines. Nothing too exaggerated, but pretty classy.
"Ok, all done."
You didn't worry too much about time, many people still had to show up and it wouldn't be a problem if you took a few minutes to arrive at the ceremony. In fact, you don't even have a ride there, Hank could have offered to take you there but he probably wants to surprise you. Then you would have to take a taxi, as if it were a novelty. That makes you think that you really need to buy a car soon, because calling a cab every time you have to go somewhere will lead you to bankruptcy one day.
A few minutes having your hair done and you were ready to go. Your shoved folded graduation gown in a bag and grabbed your phone to respond the messages your study group friends has sent.
