"Your friends' life is in your hands." Said Connor's clone. "Now it's time to decide what matters most! Them... Or the revolution."

"Don't listen to him!" Hank said. "Every thing this fucker says is a lie!"

"I thought about making a joke out of it, but shit, I've never been so scared to do so..." Your softly gasped with a nervous chuckle.

"If I surrender," Connor asked. "How do I know you won't kill them?"

"I'll only do what is strictly necessary to accomplish my mission." Said the clone. " It's up to you whether or not that includes killing these humans."

Connor bit his bottom lip, he saw you look at him with fear in your eyes. The clone's words weren't enough for him, he has to make sure that the clone wouldn't hurt Hank or you. "Those humans mean nothing to me! You can kill them if you want, I don't care."

"I have access to your memory!" The clone exclaimed. "I know you've developed some kind of attachment to them..." Then it glanced at you. "Specially to this woman... Are you really ready to let them to die? After all you've been through? Are you really going to turn your back on who you've become?"

Connor, finding himself in this situation, saw it as a moment of reflection. That copy of him reflected his attitudes before he woke up. He saw how blind he was, and that made him think: was this how I was? "I used to be just like you." He said. "I thought nothing mattered except the mission... But then one day I understood."

"Very moving, Connor..." Said the other android. "But I'm not a deviant. I'm a machine designed to accomplish a task, and that's exactly what I'm going to do!" It straighten the gun both at you and Hank. "Enough talk! Are you gonna save your partners' life? Or are you going to sacrifice them?"

Connor moved away from the inactive android. "Alright, alright... You win..."

That moment opened up a loophole so that Hank and you could act together and attack Connor's fake copy, which didn't work so well, as android managed to disorient the lieutenant with a blow to the head. You had to help him. Connor quickly intervened to fight his other self.

It was an arduous dispute between machine and deviant. Connor did his best to prevent that other Connor from stopping the revolution. You watched them fight, and the more you watched, the more confused you became. You couldn't tell which Connor was the real one.

You drew your gun that you had hidden earlier. "STOP!"

"Thanks, (Y/N)..." Said one of the Connors as they stood up. "I don't know how I'd have managed without you... Get rid of him, we have no time to lose."

"Don't listen to him!" Said the Connor on the left. "(Y/N), I'm the real Connor."

"Can't believe this is happening..." You shortly sighed. "One of you is my actual partner... And I need to know who is who."

"What are you doing, (Y/N)?" Said the Connor on the right. "I'm the real Connor. Give me the gun and I'll take care of him!--"

"Shut up!"

"Why don't you ask us something?" One of them suggested. "Something only the real Connor would know."

"Alright.." You thought of a shallow question. "Where did we first meet?"

"At the Police Department!" Said the Connor on the right. "I was looking for Hank's desk when I accidentally scared you. You went there to deliver him a dessert, and he wasn't very happy to see you there."

He uploaded my memory...

"What name do I call you?" You questioned.

Even with the exact same face and features, something tells you that there's a slight apparent difference between these two Connors. And you tried to figure it out as you carefully choose the next questions. Maybe their stances, their expressions, or even their way of expressing their answers.
