3rd Person POV
TJ walked to the park and he felt the confidence slipping away as he started getting closer. I can't believe that I'm actually going to come out to my friends. He thought.

As he arrived, Reed gave him a handshake, "Hey, what's up man?"

"I'm gay." TJ blurted out.

"Wow. Straight to point, huh?" Reed said.

"We know." Marty said.

TJ wasn't sure that he heard him right, so he asked, "What? How?"

Reed chuckled, "Dude, you talk about Cyrus 24/7."

"I didnt say anything about liking Cyrus!"

"Technically we didn't either, so you just confirmed that you like Cyrus." Reed said

"Dude, you have to ask him out!" Lester said.

"No! I am not going to do that!" He told them.

"Why not? Come on, TJ!" Reed said.

"Well, I told him that I would take him to prom if he wanted me to and he said yes. Does that count?"

"No, you didn't ask him out on a date."

"Isn't that basically asking him out?

"You have to make it clear to him that you actually want to be his boyfriend and not just go to prom with him."

"And how do you know so much about this?"

"I've been in your situation!"

"Yeah, but it's different with girls."

"Who said it was a girl?" Reed asked.

"Wait, what?" Marty exclaimed.

"Why haven't you ever told us?" Lester asked.

"I didn't think it was important." Reed replied.

"Well, it is!" TJ exclaimed.

"I have an idea." Marty said.

"What is it?" TJ asked.

"You said that you asked him to prom, right? And the other day, you told us that he's gonna be homeschooled?"

He nodded.

"Maybe you should make the prom happen at your house. And maybe then, you can ask him out!"

"What? I can't do that!"

"Why not? That's the perfect moment to ask him out!"

"Yeah, he's right!" Reed said. "And maybe you could get Amber to decorate like it's an actual prom!"

"No! That's a terrible idea! I've never asked anyone out before! And I've never even been to prom!"

"So? First time for everything, right?"

"Yeah,  but-"

"No buts. Text Amber and tell her the plan."

"What? Right now?"

"Yes right now!"

"But isn't prom supposed to be at the end of the school year?"

"Who cares? You're both homeschooled! And you don't have time to wait! Now go get your mans!" Marty said.

"I'm not going to do it!" TJ exclaimed.

"Ok, fine." Reed said, "We won't make you do it. Let's just go to the movies. You can bring Cyrus if you want."

As TJ texted Cyrus, Reed started working on a plan that TJ wouldn't see coming.
