I finished another day of work and I have to pay rent today, I have just enough to pay it so next week ill have to get food for the apartment. Mason hasn't left even though I have been gone so much from working to make enough money to pay rent and theres barely any food.

Unlocking my door I open it to see Cameron, Mason, and Swagger on my couch.

"Cameron?"

"Phoenix!!!"

Cameron jumps up and hugs me tightly twirling me around. "What are you doing here?" I asked both Cam and Swagger "Oh Mason said you've been stressing out lately so were here to rescue you" Swagger explained.

They came out here for me?

"Oh shit I have to pay rent!!" I went to go down to the office when Cameron grabbed my wrist "hold your tits there... We already paid it" He let go when I turned around to look at him "but why?" I asked and he just smiled "because like Swagger said were here to rescue you from your stress" he flexes and I punch his shoulder " I have to do things on my own you know..." I say and he nods "I know but not when were around! Come on go pack a bag" He says and I raise my eyebrow "for what?" - "a little vacation!!" He starts pushing me into my room and shuts the door behind us.

Cam looks around and smiled "you did a nice job with the room" he became more serious, for whatever reason hes always different when his friends aren't around us. "Thank you" I accepted his compliment and grabbed a suitcase "What are we doing?" - "Has Mason been staying here?" He asked avoiding my question "yeah why?" I start putting clothes in my bag and packing away some toiletries.

He fell quiet for a second "Has he helped any?" Cameron didn't look at me when asking the questions he kept playing with a necklace that was as hanging on my dresser "he helps with cooking and dishes and cleaning around the place" I shrug and pack away my makeup bag zipping it up.

Cam turned around and walked over to me putting his hands on each of my shoulders. We looked at each other for a solid minute before I said something "Cameron?" I asked and he just gave me a tight hug.

Without saying a word he grabs my bag and heads out my bedroom.

I don't really know what happened but we just moved past it and packed up the car. Cameron drove with Swagger in the passenger seat and Mason and I in the back.

It was an uncomfortable 3 hour drive but we made it to an abandoned campgrounds that got shut down because of a mass murder way back then.

Cameron and I always joked about coming here but I didn't think we'd actually do it.

We began setting up camp, Cameron and Swagger in one tent while Mason and I were in our own tent. It wasn't even 10 minutes and the boys were getting high as hell.

"Phoenix!! Have some!" Mason said and I politely declined and he just nodded giving me a kiss on the head.

I smiled watching him try and finish the rest of the tent.

I heard a car start pulling up making me freaked out. This was provinces property and we can be on here unless we have permission if we get caught, especially with drugs, were toast...

The car stops and out comes Toby, Jay, Matt, Ryan, and Sam.

"Hey you got here just in time" Swagger smiles handing their managers a couple blunts.

Very professional.

I didn't know they'd be here too, they started to unpack and set up their tents too. They grouped up into pairs too - Toby and Ryan, Matt, Jay, and Sam.

After finishing their tents, the guys started a fire and lighting blunts with it. Swagger got out some beer and gave everyone some "oh she doesn't drink beer" Cam said but I shook my head "Ive never had beer before... I could try it" I smiled and took the glass bottle from swagger anf he just grins back handing Mason one. I tried opening the bottle but it was hurting my hand and making it turn raw and red, "do you want me to open it for you, love?" Mason, who was already done with his beer, held his hand out wanting to help. "A-ah yes please" I felt myself blush and hand him the glass.

Nicknames are cute enough as it is but being called "love" is a whole different type of cute.

Mason didnt have any problem opening it and handed it back grinning from ear to ear. "Shut up I loosened it for you" I say pouting. He just laughed and ruffled my hair "So Pheonix what part of England are you from?" Sam asked taking a swig of his drink.

I guess either Cameron or Mason has talked about me.

"Oh! Im from Peterborough" - "Penis what?" Swagger choked on his drink and I giggled "Pee-tuh-bruh, its in eastern England" I took a sip of the beer and instantly gagged. "Ugh this tastes like im licking a pubescent boys computer screen who wants to ever drink this?" I instantly hand it to Mason and he chuckled gladly took it.

Everyone didnt make fun of me, I was scared they would think in some pussy but they just thought it was cute. "So what made you move here?" Toby asked "oh my dad was a doctor and he got a job here in New Zealand, but he died in an accident shortly after..." I grabbed a coke from the cooler and sat back down "im sorry for your loss.." Ryan put his head down a bit.

Oh gosh I ruined the mood "hey! Its all good im good! I have you guys now that all I need!!" I smiled at them and they all smiled back.

Soon enough one by one the guys went to bed and Mason refused to go to bed without me so he fell asleep in the camping chair. Which left just Cam and I awake at the fire.

"Its good to see you again" Cam nudged me and and I nodded smiling. "You should move to Australia with me" he didnt look at me he just kept looking at the fire "I dont know Cameron..." I sighed and he took my hand into his.

He stood up and we started walking away from camp.

"Where are we going?" I asked looking down at our hands. He didnt say anything just kept walking talk we reached a river bank. He sat down and I sat down next to him.

It was silent except the water rushing by slowly.

"Phoenix... I wanted to tell you something for a long time now." He sighed and pulled his long legs up to his chest "as a kid I had a huge crush on you, I felt like I needed to protect you from everyone and everything... I was scared someone would take you away from me which is why I didnt like it when you made new friends.." I was shocked he was bringing this up now "... But as we grew up I came to terms that I was in love with you, I didnt know how you felt about me so I kept it a secret let alone I was afraid it would ruin the friendship that we had" Cameron just kept looking out at the water "until you left that note saying that you liked me as well... But at that time it was too late you were with Mason and it was so hard to see you two together but you were so happy that I didnt say anything. Until he cheated on you I've never seen you so heart broken I remembered how angry I was, I wanted to kill Mason for hurting you so badly."

He paused for a second and looked at me, im sure if it wasn't as dark as it was he would've seen how red my face is. "Pheonix im still in love with you and I dont think I can get over this..." He stands up and sighed.

"W-wait!" I jumped up "why are you telling me now?" I asked him and he shrugged "I had to get it off of my chest at some point and going here was a dream of ours so I just thought it was right" there was a moment of silence then he placed his hands on the sides of my face, it was so gentle and kind. He tilted my head up to meet his, "can I do something Pheonix?" He asked and I raised an eyebrow. "Do wha-" before I could finish his lips locked with mine.

I was taken back by how sudden this was, was it the alcohol? The drugs? Why is he acting this way?

In all my years of liking Cameron I thought this would be an exploding moment. But where are the fire works? Where are the butterflies in the stomach? Where is my shaky legs where he has to hold me up?

Its all not there...

He pulls back "im sorry for doing that... I just hoped that there was something.. Was- was there something?" He had hope in his eyes and I sighed "im sorry Cameron I dont think I like you the same way anymore... I think im over that im sorry..." I pulled away from his grip and walked back to camp.

Mason was still sound asleep in the chair and I nudged him a bit "Hmm?" He opens his eyes a bit and he smiles "good morning beautiful" he wraps his arms around me and I giggle "lets go to bed im tired" I say helping him up and over to our tent.

As Mason gets inside I see Cameron with his head hung low walk past the fire and into his tent with swagger I just shook it off and climbed into the tent.

"You okay?" He asked and I nodded zipping up the tent "good come here I've been wanting to cuddle you" he stretched his arms out and I smile slightly and climb into his arms.
