Ravn POV

It is early in the morning when they stand up and eat their breakfast.
“Should we bury Orliander? It feels weird to just leave him on the wall.“, Seoho says. “I think we should. What do the others think?“, Ravn asks. The others nod except for Hwanwoong who seems to be deep in thought. Hwanwoong?“
Dongju taps him on the shoulder. Hm?... Oh, yeah..., we probably should.“
They pack their things, extinguish the fire and walk back to the house.
“Who should go in?“, Keonhee asks.
“Not you. I think Seoho should go in. He seemed to be okay with it.“, Geonhak states. “I will go too.“, Hwanwoong says. “Okay, we will wait for you here.“, Ravn says.
They go in and come back after ten minutes. “We removed the planks from his body, so he looks a little more presentable.“, Seoho explains. They dig a hole for him next to the house. After they buried him they stand in front of his grave. “We should make a sign or something.“, Ravn suggest. Hwanwoong goes inside the house and comes out with a plank. Geonhak takes out a knife. “What should I write?“
“Here lays Orliander, spy of the assassins guild. He died because he hated dwarfs.“, Keonhee says. “I like that.“, Dongju says. “Me too.“, Hwanwoong states. “Okay, let's go with that.“, Ravn decides. Geonhak scratches the inscription into the board. “You're writing is ugly.“, Seoho mocks him. Orliander was an ugly person, so he doesn't deserve better.“, Dongju says. Geonhak lays the sign infront of the grave and Hwanwoong puts two iron nuggets on each side that he made with a spell, so the sign doesn't get blown away by the next sandstorm. “Is there a tradition that elfs do at funerals that we could do?“, Ravn asks. “We usually dance around the grave, like this.“
Hwanwoong shows them the dance. It's really easy so they learn it in 5 minutes. “And everyone has to say something about the dead person or wish him something for the afterworld.“, the small man explains.
“Anything?“, Keonhee asks. “It has to be something positive.“ “That's REALLY hard.“, Dongju states. The others try hard not to laugh. “Let's try it.“, Seoho says. They start dancing around the grave. “I hope they treat you good in hell.“, Seoho says. “Thank you for telling us the assassins guilds plan.“, Geonhak says next. “You did a good job with raising your son just to be like you.“, Hwanwoong says. “I like that thought of me as a special person.“, Dongju says. “I like that you were a bad fighter.“, Keonhee says. “I think it was nice that you let Martha and Bruno live.“, Ravn says. “And now?“, Ravn asks. “We kneel down infront of the grave for one minute and someone has to speak a prayer. “I can do that.“, Seoho states. They kneel down and Seoho speaks a prayer. “And now?“, Ravn asks again.
“We go. I want to reach the next bigger village as fast as possible. I am desperate for a bed.“, Hwanwoong exclaims.
They walk southwards for one and a half days. Every now and then they walk past some houses. Then Ravn speaks up: “We are almost at the bigger village at the oasis. We need to get there before it gets dark outside.“ “That would be good.“, Geonhak states. “Oh because of you too, but the village is also full of vampires.“ “What?“, Keonhee screams and the others are just a shocked. “Yes, but my dad recommended an inn for us. The owner only drinks blood from animals, evil creatures and bad people. So as long as you don't steal, murder or do something else that's illegal, it's okay.“ “Are you sure?“, Dongju asks. “Well if something seems off someone will have to guard the room. We really shouldn't be in or near the village when it's dark.“
After another hour of walking they arrive at the inn. It is a dark green villa with black marble ornaments and pillars. Around the villa is a huge garden with yellow, pink and orange roses in it. The whole lot is surrounded by a black fence. “Wow, this not a inn. Are you sure we are right here?“, Keonhee asks. “Yes, look on the writing over the gate. It says small farmers inn.“, Ravn states. Keonhee looks at the writing. “Are you sure the owner is a vampire and not a jester? Because this house is definitly not small and has nothing to do with farmers.“
“Let's just get inside. It is getting dark.“, Geonhak says.
The entrance hall is baby blue with a white marble floor and curtains that are closed to block out the sun from outside. At the end of the room is a desk that is made out of dark wood. Behind the desk hang several keys on the wall. A very pale woman walks back and fourth behind the desk with a book in her hands. She keeps on trying to tuck her very long dark brown hair behind her ears. She also wears a long low-cut red velvet dress which shows off her thin but very curvy figure perfectly. Ravn clears his throat and the women finally notices them. “Oh, hello, what can I do for you?“
The womans face doesn't match to her body at all. She looks really innocent and her eye colour fades from brown at the inside to dark green and then to dark blue on the outside. Her lips are red which matches her dress.
“Oh we...“, Ravn starts but gets interrupted by Geohak who is turning into a werwolf. The vampire looks at him in shock and then quickly hides under the table. Run.“, she shouts, but so quietly that Ravn almost doesn't understand her. “Oh, he is not dangerous. He is our friend.“, Ravn explains. The woman crawls out of her position. “Really? Can I pet him?“ She walks over to Geonhak. Sure.“, Ravn answers. She pets him shyly. Then she also looks at the others. “Wow, you are all really good looking.“, she states and blushes. “Thank you.“, they answer shyly. She walks over to Hwanwoong, stands next to him and measures their non-existent height difference. “Wow, we are the same height.“
Hwanwoong just smiles at her comment. “And you have nice butt.“, she says very quietly and her face gets very red. “What?“, Hwanwoong asks confused if heard that right and blushes too. “Nothing. You probably want a room so that's five people and a dog. Yes I know he is a werwolf but my book keeper will be confused if I write that. Plus he get's a dog bed.“, she explains. “Actually four people, a dog and a cat.“, Ravn corrects her. “Oh, yeah, you're a wizard. Are you okay with a basket with a pillow and a small blanket?“ Yes.“ “You are a weird group. A human, a human with magic abilities, a werwolf, a wizard, a way too small elf and a I don't know but it is scarily powerful.“ “We know.“, Keonhee says. “I will prepare your room. You can wait at the dining room and get yourself dinner.“
They do as they are told. In the huge dining room are already some other guests. They seem to be traveler and merchants. The dining room is a light pink colour. The ceiling is painted with clouds and angels. The dining table is made out of the same wood as the desk in the entrance room. The forks and knives are made out of silver and the plate out of porcelan. They sit down at the dining table and get immediatly asked by the employees what they want to eat and drink. Their food arrives shortly afterwards. Geonhak sits down in front of a bowl for dogs and gets some meat. The other people in the room stare at him shortly, then they go back to eating their food. “This place is fancy.“, Keonhee states. “Yes, look how beautiful the silverware is.“, Hwanwoong says and gets a strange look from a elf in the corner. “Isn't this place expensive?“, Seoho asks.
“No, the price isn't any different from most inns.“, Ravn explains. “But how can they afford this?“, Dongju asks. “Every time you want to go from Doru to the north or the other way around, you need to go through this village. So they have a lot of guest that sleep here. Behind the villa are also two big farms, so travelers can get everything they need from there. Because so many people come through the village, a lot of vampires settled here. The travelers are usually exhausted and unprepared against vampires, so their are a easy prey for the vampires.“ “Why is the owner helping the people?“, Seoho asks.
“I don't know.“
They finish their dinner and talk for a few more minutes. Then they go back to the entrance room. “How was your dinner?“ “Good, thanks.“, Ravn answers. “Sorry, I was so distracted by your looks earlier that I forgot to introduce myself. I am Gina, the owner of this inn. Now let me show you your room.“
She leads them through the door next to the wall with keys. The room has really big mable stairs in the middle then it splits into left and right. Both stairs lead to a balcony that goes around the whole room. They go to the left and enter a hallway there. “Right are the women rooms so please don't go there. And this is your room.“ They stop in front of one of the many rooms in the hallway. The sign on it says: Room 96. They go inside. Two king-sized beds with silk sheets are prepared for them, a mini bed with lots of pillows for Geonhak and a basket with two pillows and a blanket for Ravn. “Good night.“, Gina says and leaves. “Who wants to share one bed with who?“, Keonhee asks. “I sleep with Seoho in one bed. You two always kick me at night.“, Dongju replies. “I thought we would get seperate beds.“, Hwanwoong says. “The beds are really big, so it should be okay.“, Keonhee says. “Do we need a night guard or do you feel safe.“, Ravn asks. “I feel safe.“, Seoho says. “Me too.“, Keonhee says. The other three nod.
They each go into their bed. Ravn turns into a cat and crawls under the blanket. Half of the way is done. Hopefully they won't have any problems on the other half.
