I pound my fists against the door and wait for someone to open it. I felt shaky, worried; I had a million things going on in my head. As I thought of what I was going to say to Joyce, she opens up the door. She seemed worried but also hopeful that I was standing in front of her. Robin was standing behind me; she was there for support for when I tell Joyce the story.

Steve was waiting in the car, not wanting to overwhelm Joyce with the news. Joyce gives me a soft smile and opens up the door, even more, letting Robin and me inside. There were blanket and pillows on the couch, indicating that Joyce slept on the couch.

She pushed the duvet out of the way and she sat down on the sofa. Robin and I sat on the other smaller couch. I cleared my throat and started hoping that it won't turn out as bad,

"So I found my Mom, my real Mom." I started, "Kate was someone who looked after me but my birth mother is named Becky Ives."

Joyce's eyes widened,

"Becky Ives?"

"Yeah."

"That's El's aunty." She softly spoke. I glanced over at Robin and her eyes were just as wide as mine. El and I are cousins. Oh my god. I look back at Joyce and I continue my story,

"But then she called the lab and Doctor Brenner was there and they dragged me to a lab and-" My eyes started to fill up with tears, again. My throat went dry and I couldn't find any words to explain what happened. I felt Robin rub my back for comfort and a tear fell down my cheek. I quickly wiped it again and went on with what I was saying, "I heard a gunshot. I didn't see who was shot but I heard it. I am so sorry I couldn't save anyone."

I looked into Joyce's eyes and they were watery and red. She nodded her head and looked down at her chipped nails. She fiddled with her fingers as a teardrop fell onto her lap. She let out a deep sigh and looked back up again.

"It's not your fault sweetie, you did the best you could." She said calmly. I gave her a soft smile and she gave one in return. I felt the tears swell up in my eyes again and I fell into Joyce. We both hugged each other and sobs softly. I heard Robin sigh in relief and I smiled.

I let go of Joyce and we both stood up. Joyce brushed herself off and I gave her a serious look,

"We are going to find Will, I promise. We will go to the lab, maybe they took him there." I reassured her. She nods her head and all three of us walk outside. As we hop into the car, Steve starts the engine. Joyce gets into the front with Steve while Robin and I sit in the back.

"So where to?" Steve asks.

"The lab. Where you found Y/N," Joyce spoke, looking straight ahead. Steve nodded his head and backed out of the driveway. The car ride was silent again, everyone was too stressed or distracted to talk.

As Steve drove out of the town and into the middle of nowhere, Joyce looked around.

"Where are we?"

The dirt path was now under the car, we are close. As the building and stores turned into trees and bushes, I saw a tall grey building up ahead.

"We're here," I whispered to myself, however it was loud enough for everyone to hear. I let out a shaky breath as the shadow of the building consumed the car. Steve stopped the car and we all got out.

We entered the building and it was dark and silent, it seemed abandoned. The lights weren't on and there wasn't a person in sight. We walked further into the foyer, only able to hear our breaths. Steve and Robin were walking ahead of Joyce and I. I gasped as I heard footsteps coming from behind us. Joyce and I turned around and we both gasped even louder than before.

"You're late." The voice spoke.

Then it all went black.
