"Can I play with you?"

"Sure"

"I'm Cosette," The girl with hair like Rapunzel's says, sitting down next to me in the sand

"Poppy"

She doesn't say much else, and she doesn't need to as she crafts a crab from the wet sand.

"I'm going to make a unicorn with wings now" she announces

"So a pegasus?"

"No, a unicorn with wings"

"Aren't they the same?"

"No" she responds, focusing on the damp sand in front of her. Seconds later, "pointing at Sloane and Farrah

"That's Sloane and Farrah. Sloane lives across the street from me"

"Why are they dressed like princesses?"

"Sloane's a fairy and Farrah's a pirate. Why can't they be?"

Cosette just shrugs and goes back to her flying unicorn

~~~~Present day~~~~
"Have you ever thought what life would be like if Cosette fucked off somewhere else?" Sienna asks, her mouth full of carrots. She's really trying to be a rabbit. "I do, and I think life would be so much better. It would be like living in a luxury resort"
"Just eat ya carrots, rabbit," Nelly says, she's never cared for Cosette in any sort of way and I can't blame her.
"At least my hair isn't the colour of carrots" Sienna responds, and Isla shakes her head at me
"That's bullying. My hair looks nothing like carrots for your information"
"Is your mirror broken?"
"Maybe your eyes are"
"I forget, when did we become babysitters again?" Isla asks me
"Very funny, Remember when you threw an apple at Justin? Who needed a babysitter then"
"That was in Kindergarten and he pushed my brother off the slide. He deserved it" Isla says, quite defensively.
"We'll talk about it when you're in jail," Sienna says, looking over at Cosette and her crew of minions. "Gosh, Cosette makes me want to puke"
"If you're going to vomit, do it somewhere else, please," I tell her
"In other news, who's going to her party tonight?" Sienna asks
"We all are, remember? Besides, it's social suicide if we don't" Isla answers,
"I don't know anymore, on my invitation she called my cat ugly, so I don't think I can go until she apologises. Nobody calls my cat ugly" Sienna whines, and Nelly rolls her eyes.
"At least she didn't say anything about your uncle being a public nuisance," I say to her. The cat is ugly, but even the ugliest of cats are cute.
