I sat in Rhys chair at his office. He stayed peering over some maps on the table close by. I tried to read the reports in front of me, but it was no use, I was too distracted. Rhys knew, he understood. And that's why as Amren, Mor, Cass and Az strode in, he gave me a gentle caress through the bond.

"I thought we planned yesterday" Amren snapped, annoyed to be up this early no doubt, especially when we could all smell the sent that lingered on her from last night.

"We did" Rhys replied. "But something new has come to our attention." I gave him a quick nod before he handed out the copies of Lucien's letter to them. "I'm telling my sister today, but I thought you guys should be the first to know." I said earning a nod from Az.

It didn't take very long for them to read it. Amren only leaned back in her chair, eyes slightly wider than before. A tear slipped out of Mors eye, but she was quick to wipe it. Cassian rubbed his temples and Az sunk more into himself.

"This changes nothing." Cassian echoed from our previous statement. "No, but we need to get our hands on these reports and where he got it from. Not only that but we can use this to our advantage, make him a martyr or sorts."

We all frowned. "That's not necessary Azriel." Amren said in a hard-cold voice surprising me, and Rhys by the feeling that came through the bond.

"No" he responded, pushing off the wall. "But it's what has to be done." And strode out of the room. Even Rhys shrugged when I looked at him puzzled.

Later that day, after returning from my art studio I found Rhys playing with Gawain in the garden. G was trying to run from Rhys but being still so new to walking it was a very stop and go. But when Rhys caught him in his wings and threw him over his back and into his arms the laugh that erupted from both of them warmed my heart and all my worries, all the scratching that increased on my arm floated away on the wind. I couldn't help but run and tackle Rhys whose eyes widened in surprise as he toppled over onto the soft grass. We both laughed as I gave him and G kisses.

Gawain's laugh was contagious. It was impossible not to laugh when he did. Rhys couldn't stop either. He wrapped us in his cocoon of wings and G stopped laughing to watch the light that shone through. He reached up to touch his wings and when his fingers made contact, I felt the shiver that went through Rhys and I couldn't help but stifle a laugh.

Illyrian baby

If I remember correctly Feyre darling you reacted much more last night when I did the same thing

I blushed and pinched his arm as I shifted to lay on his chest. I opened my hand and released some of that night power Rhys and I share for G. He tried to grab the stars, but they bounced off his fingers. His wings sprouted out from his back, but he didn't seem to notice as they laid behind him.

"He's going to be trouble" I muttered onto Rhys chest as I turned my face to his. He smiled and placed a kiss on my forehead. "So much." I pecked his lips in return.
