My converse slapped against the white marble, and I'm gasping, sprinting through the white halls of Olympus. Adrenaline boosted me forward, but I couldn't help but feel woozy as I turned through the hallways. I'm taking lefts and rights without thinking, and at each turn, I'm praying I'm met with an 'Exit' sign.

I turn the hallway, huffing for breath, before I slam right into someone. We both topple backward and I hit the ground hard. I hear a groan from the person, and I prop myself up onto my elbows. "What the fuck man? Shit, that hurt." I'm met with a girl who looked about my age, with bright yellow eyes.

I swallowed, taking in her dark brown hair and strange irises. They were yellow and round, like ones of a bird...

"I'm sorry- I have to go!" I push myself to my feet, and take off, before skidding to a stop when she suddenly appears in front of me. I step to the side to get around her, but she copies me. I give her a confused look.

"Who are you?" She narrows her eyes at me, and I suddenly feel like she's staring into my soul. Then, after what seems to be a second of silence, a sly smile tugs at her lips. Her hand snatches my wrist and she holds me with an iron grip.

A small fuzziness grows at the corner of my mind.

"Hey! What's wrong with you?!" I yelp, tugging at my hand. Whoever this girl is, she definitely isn't helping! I tug against her grasp, but the pressure on my wrist only grows until tears spring into my eyes. "What's your problem!? Let me go!"

She gives me a dark chuckle. "No, I don't think so. You've caused a lot of trouble somewhere, huh? Or might I say..." She smirks. "Discord?" My heart drops into my stomach.

A name immediately flashes in my mind.

Eris.

The god of Discord and Strife.

She was known to cause trouble and be absolutely wicked. There were reports of her mischief in large newspapers, but other than that, there was nothing else about her that I knew. I usually didn't pay attention to headlines about Greek Gods or Goddesses, and I was surely going to pay for it.

I honestly don't know anything about her. Or... I can't remember anything about her. My mind feels like thick jelly...

I shake my head to clear it, but it was as if someone filled it with cotton balls.

I swallow hard. "Please, let me go." Eris lets out a cold laugh, before pulling me near her, menace filling her gaze.

"Not a chance. It's not every day that a mere mortal is brought to Olympus. You seem interesting... I might just keep you for mys-" She's cut off by another voice, this one coming from down the hall.

"Let go of her, Eris." I turn quickly, locking eyes with Artemis. She's posed with her feet steady and her shoulders squared. And... she's about twenty feet away. Shit. I look back to Eris. Surely, she'll let me go? I mean, it's Artemis, one of the Twelve Olympians.

The haziness of my mind clears up a bit.

The Goddess of Discord only grins wider, and I feel the dread in my gut grow. "Do you really think that I'm going to give up a chance of fun? The ban from the mortal realm that Zeus put on me is suffocatingly boring, and it's been only a week." I pull against her, but her sharp fingernails dig into my skin, making me gasp.

"And who's fault is that?" Artemis took a step forward, glaring at the fellow Goddess. A cackle erupts from Eris's lips, and I cringe away from her. "I'm giving you five seconds to let go of her before I make you." Her voice is threatening and cold, enough to shake even the highest-ranking military general to his knees.
