Louie's POV

I'm sorry what did he just say? It's not the words that bothered me, it's how he said it!

"Dewey, we just forgot ok!" It came out of my mouth before I had a chance to even register in my mind. Huey looked pissed. As for Dewey... that face will be in my nightmares. I can't describe it super well but... pure shock? Horror? Disappointment? Agh, I'll find the word eventually. Right now I gotta stay in this moment.
"Louie! What he mea" Huey was cut off with a wave of Dewey's hands.
"He didn't mean anything different. You both just- just- FORGOT about ME!" Dewey's tone was angry and hurt. Normally when he got angry, he ignored us or laughed it off. But that tone made me scared. I didn't even realize I started to back away, along with Huey.

"No! I just- I just" Oh come on Louie think! Out of all the times, why choose now to not make up a cunning excuse!
"Whatever, I'm over it. Can you not do it again please?" Dewey didn't have his menacing tone going, so maybe he forgave us? This is the first time though, as long as we never do it again, we should be fine!
"We promise Dewford." Huey seemed to be breathing better, probably less panicked now Dewey wasn't about to kill us. I was too, I'll never forget about not forgetting Dewey again. Hopefully.

Two Months Later

Dewey's POV

School. Ew. Summer should last forever, but nooooo. At least if I'm going to school, it should be Dewey High, my dream school! I'm so much cooler there!
Whatever, well I walked to school today alone. Huey got a head start and I don't even know if Louie has gotten out of bed. I arrive to the school and glare at the sign. "Duckburg Highschool" Yea, even worse. First year of high school. Yay.
I see Huey sitting with his nerd friends. He didn't have friends till last year, so I guess I'm happy for him. I can't make my brother hang with me forever, but can't I hope he would've?

I don't have any friends here. I did, but they left me for the popular kids. Louie sometimes hangs out with me. At least they both promised to sit with me at lunch each day, so that was something to look forwards to!

Lunch Time

Dewey's POV

Yes! Lunch, finally! Class is horrible, especially having like 3 minutes to get to classes! Finally lunch, I glance around, looking for Louie or Huey. I don't see either of them, so I just find an empty table and wait.
I glance around after 5 minutes. Maybe their classes were not excused immediately? My eyes glance around, till I see a very familiar green hoodie.
Wow.

Louie is sitting with popular kids. Can't even trust my own brother. I mean whatever, he'll notice his mistake when Huey sits with me. As I'm getting ready to look back and start eating, a red cap catches my attention.

Huey?

He is sitting right next to Louie.

Maybe they thought I would sit next to them?

But the whole group of popular people got here two minutes ago! No one else was sitting there before!

Did they forget something I asked them this morning?

But they promised.

Fine.

If they don't care, then I don't either.

You shouldn't make promises you can't keep.

(3rd part done! I'm really excited to get this story going, I love this idea I have! Might not be unique, but whatever! Thanks for reading!)
