I watched the awkward situation in silence and then he turned and looked at me

And immediately the big frown on his face converted to a huge grin and I had to pinch myself to confirm I wasn't imagining things

Why is he suddenly smiling at me
.. For what reason,

"Genesis.... It nice to see you, we haven't seen you in a while, is everything OK "

If he had not started that sentence with Genesis, I wouldn't have known he was referring to me and this huge smile on his face makes things even worse... Am confused..... Now words have failed me and I'm staring at him like a tornado.

"No..... I mean Yes!.... Everything is just fine, I was just asking after you from Julie... Right Julie "

I turned to her and she was smiling like everything is fine

What is going on
Why are this people trying to drive me crazy
I mean a few seconds, he was looking at her like he was about to strangle and now there are staring like nothing happened and everything's fine

I wouldn't want to think that Philip would ever raise his hands on his wife
And she would take such...

"Yes baby..... Genesis has been with me since morning, she really tried.. I didn't expect her to still be here..... You know her usaul self, she's always in a hurry...... You remember when she left, the other day without notifying either of us"

They chuckled and laugh about it

I had to follow suit, so not to look weird because as it is am already confused

I wouldn't want to stay here..... And if am going to keep feeling this way I would embarrass myself

I shake my head several times... This is so pestering... I really want to go home

"Fantastic..... Let's get the table set......"

She started calling her girls and in a couple of minutes everything was in order

We sat at the table in this order
Philip of course at the head, with Juliet by his right...... , Victoria by his left... And I was sitting next to Juliet

The food started in silence, there was a lot to pick from..... And there were all appeasing....... I started with a spoon of macaroni and fried fish.. It was very delicious infact I'm glad I chose to stay. This food did not disappoint

During the course of the dinner... I notice Victoria lean towards Philip and cleaned his lower lip with a savette

Philip is still a messy eater and he enjoys digging his meal with full concentration.... But that wasn't the disgusting part... The disgusting part was how Victoria slowly and sluggishly lean towards him to wipe his lips....

She might think it sexy but I'm sure Philip does not see it that way... he nodded and continue to munch his food

as if that was not enough... When he as much as cough.... She hands him a glass of water immediately even before Juliet can raise her head

I can see she's not comfortable with the whole scenario but she's doing a great job at ignoring it.. I couldn't wait for the dinner to be over

But of course towards the end of the dinner.... Juliet of course had to order wine... and we were given glasses

Juliet stood up adjusted her dress and raised her glass and gently ring with her knife so we all raised our glasses 🍷 🍷 🍷

"To my wonderful husband.. Whom I would never trade for any other thing in the world.... Baby you are my everything and I couldn't be more proud...... Because you are my pride and when I look at you I see a brighter tomorrow and I just love you even more "

Philip cracked

"Can You have mercy on our dear hands and cut your epistle short plsss"

We all laughed And agreed the epistle was getting really long

"But have only just begun......... Okay.... Lemme wrap it up
To my dearest hubby... Whom I believe would come out victorious in tomorrow's election.......

Glass clicked 🥂 🥂 🥂 and Juliet moved closer to her husband and pressed a soft kiss on his lips, he smiled and I make a tiny..... "Awwwn "

That triggered Victoria to jump on her feet ready to make her own toast
Why does she always have to push this upon herself..

Juliet didn't click glasses and I don't blame her... What exactly is Victoria feeling like.
This is your boss's husband for goodness sake. Even if you are sharing a bed with him doesn't mean you can just open your mouth and talk anyhow but I don't blame her..
Philip is just an horrible monster with zero shame am sure he's enjoying the show right now

I raised my head from the table and realize everyone was staring at me
Did I just say something out loud but then Juliet nodded and she was giving me signs to make a toast too....

Now that's unheard of
I mean three women are sitted at this table and are connected to Philip in a weird but familiar way

Am coming from his past...
His wife is holding the present
And the other claims to have a future with him

Isn't that hilarious
