Chapter Synopsis: As the second day of school begins, a tag team tournament is announced and Ash's and his friends sort them selves into duos to hopefully win the tournament!
Quick Note: Whenever a like begins with a * it means the character is thinking it to themselves
It was 8 in the morning and it was time for Ash, Gary and Fiera to wake up for their second day of school
"Ash! Gary! Fiera! It's time to get up!" Delia shouted
"We're coming!" Ash shouted back as he got up
The three then for ready in their own rooms and met in the hallway
"Ready for school Ash?" Fiera asked
"I sure am" Ash answered
"Well let's go then" Gary said
They then headed downstairs and began to eat breakfast while they discussed the day ahead
"I wonder what we're gonna do at school today" Gary said
"I'm not sure but Serena mentioned there would be some important announcement today" Ash replied
"I wonder what it could be then" Gary wondered
"Are you alright Fiera?" Ash then asked
"I-I'm fine" She answered with a half smile
Fiera usually didn't talk when Serena was around or when she was mentioned which Ash found strange
"Look at Pikachu going all out" Gary then pointed out and the three turned to see Pikachu stuffing food down
"He sure is hungry, just like his trainer" Fiera laughed
The group then finished eating by 8:15 and there was a knock on the door
"Who could it be?" Ash asked
"I'll get it" Gary replied
Gary walked over and opened the door and saw who was there
"Serena?" Gary asked
"Hey Gary, is Ash here?" Serena asked back
"Ash get in here!" Gary shouted as he turned around
"Coming!" Ash shouted back
Ash then walked over to the door and stood next to Gary as he saw Serena
"Hey Serena! What's up?" Ash asked
"I just wanted to know if you'd walk with m-me to school today" Serena answered nervously
"Sure!" Ash replied as he stepped out
"Pika pi!" Pikachu added with excitement as he jumped onto Serena's shoulder
"Hey Pikachu!" Serena said
"Pika!" He replied
"Well we're gonna finish up getting ready, we'll see you there Ash!" Gary said
"See ya later!" Ash replied
Ash and Serena then began to make their way to school while Serena tried to make as much conversation as possible
"You and Gary sure are good friends" Serena pointed out
"He can be pretty stubborn sometimes and he's got a bit of an ego but yeah he's a good friend in the end" Ash replied
