And so begins part 2 of the book......
*35 minutes after the fall
"Y-Yes thats right" Clemont confirmed
"Then i'm afraid theres nothing we can do. We don't have the technology to look down in there, and frankly, theres an extremely low chance of survival" Officer Jenny replied
"It's alright Serena, theres still a chance" Shauna comforted the crying girl in her arms
"Sorry to be blunt but it's best if you all understand the circumstances, recovering from that kind of fall..... it's impossible. First you would have to survive and then we would need to be able to go down there and retrieve them" Officer Jenny explained
"Thanks Officer" Kiawe replied
"Let's get you home Serena, you need to rest" Dawn said but Serena shook her head
"I-I'm not leaving until I know Ash is safe" She insisted
"Serena...... I'm sorry, but the chances....." Shauna said
"Ok" She replied quietly, still crying a bit
*10 minutes after the fall
"Huh?" Ash asked as he slowly opened his eyes and examined his surroundings
He was currently at the bottom of some kind of trench, and there was a campfire in front of him so he looked up and saw a figure that wore white armor, a hood and a cape
"W-Who are you? And where am I? Everything hurts...." Ash then asked the figure
"That was a tough fall. Your lucky to be alive" The man answered
"You didn't answer my questions" Ash replied
"The fall has given you a psychological reboot, otherwise known as amnesia. You fell off a cliff that is known to be impossible to survive" The man replied and his wristband projected a hologram that showed a diagram of the fall
"Amnesia? I guess so... I don't remember anything" Ash said as he sat up slowly
"Whats your most recent memory?" The man asked
"It's..... I remember my friend Gary telling me something" Ash answered
"Do you remember professor Oak's summer camp? The man then asked but Ash shook his head
"No" Ash said
"So then your missing at least the part 9 years of your life" He revealed
"9 years......" Ash replied as he examined himself
"So what can you tell me about my past?" Ash asked
"I know nothing of it" The man answered
"Oh. So how did you get down here? And who are you?" Ash then asked
"My name is Neptune. How I got down here doesn't matter. What matters is the situation at hand" He replied
"Well I don't know anything about it" Ash said
"Theres a group of people who wish to see your end. They believe they've achieved their goal so if you suddenly appear again then they'll return. We have to get you out of here" Neptune explained
"My end? Did I do something bad..." Ash wondered out loud
"No. Can you get up?" Neptune asked
Ash then attempted to get up and he was able to but he was in lots of pain so Neptune put his arm over him
