Ash's POV
"Ok ok! Are you ready?" asked Serena, who was currently rushing to get ready
"You've asked that like three times now" I laughed "Yeah I'm ready"
"And what do we tell the press?" Serena inquired
I hadn't really thought about it. Me and Serena were still trying to hide our relationship from the press because we wound be hounded for details.
"Uh, I could just be your guest of honor" I suggested
"Ok" Serena agreed "But what about the video Gou showed us? The press already think that there's stuff between us"
I shrugged. "Nothing wrong with being friends"
"That are going to dance together romantically?" Serena retorted
"We'll be fine Serena, I promise"
Serena looked unconvinced but she still nodded her head and took my hand, pulling me out of her room and dashing down the stairs with me having no choice but to keep up at her pace.
We said a quick goodbye to Grace who commented about how cute we looked together. Serena blushed and I laughed it off. Not that she was embarrassed to date me (at least I hope not) but I guess she still couldn't shake off the fact she had a crush on me all those years ago.

"Lot of people" I commented
"You'd think with the Pokemon population dwindling down, there would be less" Serena agreed
"I guess Pokemon Showcases aren't affected, I mean Pokemon are still kept for sport" I replied
"True that" Serena said, looking around suspiciously for press
We managed to make our way to the back of the mansion where the party was behind held. There, we found a guest who came in full costume.
"Ah, you guys came" Jason said
"Yeah, I'm hosting" Serena replied, narrowing her eyes and putting her free hand on her hip
"Someone's still moody" Jason lowered his hood and rolled his eyes
"What was that?" Serena demanded
"Nothing" Jason dismissed "What are you two doing about the press?"
"I'm her guest of honor" I proudly answered
Jason looked in between the two of us as if waiting for one of us to admit that wasn't our plan. "Your kidding"
"That's what I said" Serena shook her head disappointingly
"Well it's not you like had a better idea" I pointed out
Serena thought about it for a second. "I guess your right"
"Anyways, you should go get ready" I suggested
I was given a quick kiss on the lips before Serena walked away to go get ready. Point was that I had things to discuss.
"So you and Matt... big fight... injury..." I spoke
"Things aren't going so well out in the city Ash" Jason replied "Lot of crime, our methods aren't different. You know that"
"Yeah considering Matt has a no killing rule" I said
"He's got a strong argument" Jason admitted "But so do I"
"Yeah I can tell"

After Serena had welcomed the partiers from up top the indoor balcony, it was time for me to be announced.
"Here we go" I sighed
"Don't screw it up" Jason said
"I'll try"
"And with that said, welcome our guest of honor, all the way from Kanto" Serena said "Ash Ketchum"
Jason chuckled. "All the way from Kanto"
"Whatever" I rolled my eyes
I walked out into the light and stood next to Serena, the press in the back seemed to be going wild and the partiers all clapped.
"W-With that said, let the party begin!" Serena announced, growing a bit nervous at the reactions
Once they all turned their attention elsewhere, me and Serena sighed a big one of relief and hurried back to safe comfort.
"That wasn't so bad, but the press are having a field day" Jason noted
"They'll get over it eventually" Serena replied "I hope"

Me and Serena's dance was incredibly nerve wrecking. Firstly because Serena was extremely beautiful, and secondly because of the press.
I couldn't help but overhear the comments from the partiers on how cute we were together or how we danced perfectly.
"Where'd you learn how to dance?" Serena raised her eyebrow
"Galar"
Serena frowned. "Oh"
"What did I tell you about being jealous?" I grinned
"Ash I will stop this dance right now and make you regret saying that if you don't take it back" Serena scowled
"Ok ok, I take it back"
"Good, now stop stepping on my feet"
