"It sure is cold in here" Aria said as she started to shiver
"It is an ice type gym" Jason pointed out
"Ugh, I don't understand how people stand this still" Aria replied
"I guess you get use to it in" Jason said as he tossed a Pokeball up and down
"I assume you remember out bet" Aria then said as she noticed the Pokeball
"Yeah I do, I'm totally winning it" Jason assured
"I know your great and all, but I've heard this gym is really tough. You sure you can do this with just one Pokemon?" Aria asked
"Having confidence makes up a big part of the success. You should know that as a performer Kalos Queen" Jason replied
"It's Aria" Aria corrected
"Mhm"
"So who are you hiding anyways? Is it some kind of legendary Pokémon? You seem really confident" Aria then asked curiously
"Nah but I'll give you a good surprise" Jason denied
"Welcome to the Snowbell City Gym! It's extremely cold inside so be prepared to come in!" A voice warned
"We're set" Jason confirmed and cold wind was released onto the duo as the entrance opened
"Oh come on" Aria complained as the two walked in
"So who's challenging me today?" The gym leader asked, sitting on his throne of ice
"The name is Jason, I'm here to win my first badge" Jason answered
"Your first badge? You've come to debatably the hardest gym for it?" Wulfric asked
"I told you" Aria muttered as she elbowed Jason
"That's right" Jason replied
"Very well. Let's see just what you can do. Either you'll be very powerful or a push over" Wulfric said and Jason stepped onto the battlefield with Aria watching from behind
"This will be a three on three Pokémon battle! Once all three Pokémon can no longer continue, the match will end! Trainers, release your first Pokémon!" The Ref stated
"Go Abomasnow!" Wulfric shouted
"Charizard, let's put on a good show" Jason said calmly with a grin
"Let the match begin!"
"I should tell you that I'm going all out from the start" Jason warned
"I'd like to see that" Wulfric replied
"Charizard, surpass your limits and shatter them! Mega Evolve!" Jason said as he tapped his band which caused Charizard to turn into Mega Charizard Y
"Hey what's that!? I've seen a Mega Charizard and it's not suppose to look like that" Aria asked
"This is Charizards second type of Mega Evolution that keeps it's typing" Jason explained
"Oh"
"Mega Evolution, now I see where your confidence came from. Abomasnow, Mega Evolve!" Wulfric declared and Abomasnow also mega evolved
"Good luck" Aria sung
"Abomasnow use Ice Punch!" Wulfric started
"Fire Punch!" Jason replied
Mega Abomasnow charged in and went for an Ice Punch but it missed as Mega Charizard Y flew around it's arm and landed a big Fire Punch to the face which made the Ice Type stumble back
"Dragon Claw!" Jason continued
Mega Charizard activated Dragon Claw and lunged in, landing two hard blows to Mega Abomasnow
"Wood Hammer!" Wulfric commanded
Abomasnow then punched the air in front of it and it did nothing which left Jason and Charizard confused, but it's arm then extended into a long green log which smacked Mega Charizard in the chest
"Grab it and use Flamethrower!" Jason instructed
Charizard used Dragon Claw to dig into the attack and keep Abomasnow in place before firing a big Flamethrower at its face
The Fire and Flying Type then continued its assault as it swooped in and landed a big Fire Punch uppercut to Mega Abomasnow
"Mega Abomasnow is unable to battle! The winner is Mega Charizard!"
"Return Abomasnow, that was good" Wulfric said
* "Amazing...." Aria thought to herself
"You beat me strongest Pokémon already..... but that was in terms of power" Wulfric explained as he released his next Pokémon
"Lugg!" It declared
"That chunk of land doesn't scare me, Charizard use Blast Burn!" Jason resumed
Mega Charizard Y then did an aerial back flip and nose dived before punching the ground and sending Blast Burn which smashed into Avalugg hard
"Use Avalanche!" Wulfric pressured
"Defend yourself" Jason said
A dark cloud then appeared above Charizard and it rained down ice chunks but Flamethrower was used to melt the attack
"I've never seen someone do that before..." Wulfric admitted
Charizard continued the battle and lunged in, landing a right hand Dragon Claw and a left hand Fire Punch
"Use Gyro Ball!" Wulfric counter attacked
Avalugg then spun rapidly and turned into an ice tornado as it charged forward and sucked in Charizard before coming to a stop send sending the mega evolved Kanto starter flying into the roof which created an ice cloud around it
The cloud cleared though as Flamethrower burst through it, hitting Avalugg hard
The confrontation then ended as Charizard flew above Avalugg and stopped flapping its wings, stomping onto Avalugg's back which made it faint
"Avalugg is unable to battle! Charizard wins once more!"
"So you weren't a push over after all" Wulfric said as he returned Avalugg
"I'd hope so" Jason agreed
"Now my final Pokémon" Wulfric then said and he released.... Bergmite
"That was pretty anticlimactic" Jason sighed
Charizard then landed on the ground and used Blast Burn again which smashed into Bergmite and rocked its world as the small Ice Type crashed into the roof and dropped the ground, fainting one shot
"Would you look at that.... such power" Wulfric pointed out
"I guess I won" Jason said as he turned to face Aria
"You really surprised me, I guess you did" She agreed
"You know what that means" Jason added
"I owe you" Aria sighed
