*Serena's POV
"So you have absolutely no idea?" Kiawe asked me
"Maybe a few people don't like Ash, but to hire a hitman!" I answered
I was currently out in Lumiose City with Kiawe and Ash, Ash hadn't gotten his Gym Battle so he would be returning another day. Kiawe had sought me out since he too had been told to investigate on the hitman. Right now, I was talking with Kiawe while Ash was in a store doing something
"How strange. Maybe it's for something really petty" Kiawe guessed
"But is it that easy to get a hitman?" I asked
"Well when you put it like that, not at all. You see theres six of them, they each specialize in something different. The one we need to be careful of uses reality, while Jason uses time" Kiawe explained
"So how do you even hire one of these guys?"
"You need to have connections, I'm not sure of the specifics but no random joe can get one of them" Kaiwe replied
"So then we aren't dealing with a random joe. There must be someone who has connections that wants Ash gone" I said
"Right..... how about Team Flare!?" Kiawe suggested
"I think that would be the most likely case after they failed before" I agreed
"If thats the case then this is going to be very hard" Kiawe said
"Yeah..." I sighed
"Hey guys! Sorry for the wait" Ash apologized as he exited the store, with one hand behind his back
"No problem, what did you do?" Kiawe asked
"I just wanted to get this real quick" Ash answered and he presented a beautiful ring in the hand that was behind him
"Wow! It's so pretty!" I exclaimed
"It's a promise ring" Kiawe added
"Thats right, I got it for you Serena" Ash said and I was shocked
"M-Me?" I asked and I started to blush intensely
"It's a promise that we'll always be there for each other" Ash explained "Here, put it on"
I then took the ring with my right hand and placed it on my fourth left finger and then presented it to Ash
"It looks great on you! I'm glad" Ash exclaimed
"Thanks so much Ash!" I replied and I gave him a tight hug
"No problem Serena" He said
"So what should we do now?" Kiawe asked
"I actually have to go home, my mom needs me, so I'll catch you guys later" Ash answered
"Bye Ash!" I said
"Bye Serena, Kiawe" Ash replied
*Time Skip
"Oh man.... I just want Ash to be safe" I sighed
"Then we have to test our Team Flare hypothesis" Kiawe replied
"So where are we going?" I asked
"To our best source" Kiawe answered and I could spot a familiar person sitting down on a table so we joined him
"So you guys think it's Team Flare?" Jason asked curiously
"We just think its the most likely" I said in response
