"So they want to take control of Kalos?" Ash asked with a hand motion that indicated he thought the idea was stupid
"I guess so, I mean it's what they did last time" Serena answered
"They did?"
"Yeah, maybe if you payed attention in school you would know that"
"Ugh...."
"I'm just saying that if you payed attention, you would be pretty smart" Serena said
"Hey I'm not that dumb" Ash defended
"I didn't say you were dumb I said you were not as smart as you should be" Serena explained
"Ok" Ash sighed
"Does that mean your going to start paying attention?" Serena asked
"Next year" Ash mumbled in response and Serena sighed in defeat
"You are coming back for school next year right?" She then asked
"To be honest I'm not entirely sure. I can't stay here forever, I need to continue my journey" Ash answered and Serena felt a wave of stress come over her
"Oh" She replied in disappointment
"Hey, don't worry about it. I can always come and visit, not to mention it's not like I'm always gone" Ash said
Ash was currently at Serena's house as he had been invited leve to hang out with her for the last day of winter break. What they didn't know though, was that today would escalate things on to a new level
*Flashback
"We'll be out in a minute Bonnie" Ash said
"Ok, but don't take too long!" She replied
"We won't" Ash & Serena promised in sync
Bonnie then turned around and skipped out of the room to go rejoin Clemont who was setting up dinner for the group
* "Was I really about to kiss Ash? Bonnie just had to ruin it...." Serena thought to herself
* "What was I doing?" Ash asked himself
"So um- want to go eat or?...." Serena asked awkwardly
"I- Sure" Ash agreed with the same awakwardness
The two gave each other an awkward half smile before exiting the tent and heading over to the table where Bonnie was whispering something to Clemont
"What are you guys talking about?" Ash asked curiously
"Yeah.... just what are you guys talking about...." Serena added suspiciously and she squinted her eyes at Bonnie
"I was just telling Clemont a secret" Bonnie said
"Mind telling us too?" Ash then asked innocently
"No or else it wouldn't be a secret! Plus you know about it already" Bonnie denied
"We do?" Serena asked
"Of course" Bonnie confirmed and she winked at Serena which made her begin to blush
*End of flashback / Serena's POV
"Serena?" Ash asked but to no response "Serena....."
"Huh! Oh... sorry" I apologized
"Something happen?" Ash then asked and he stared into my eyes with genuine concern
"No I was just remembering something" I assured
