23 - The Memories

It had been a week since the attack at the mall, Lennox was feeling a lot better and Mackenzie has managed to walk around on her bad leg for a little while.

Lockdown was always incredibly boring after a while. No runs, no bars, no business.
I felt like I was going crazy cooped up in this club house - unless Lennox was around.

I loved spending time with her and lockdown meant I spent almost every second of the last week with her.
Maddox had given me the older brother chat a couple days ago, once he'd noticed how much time we were spending together, I chuckled remembering the things he had said.

I've never had a relationship, hell I'd never actually had sex with a girl... not fully anyway, sure I've pleased a girl before and received things back but... never properly.
Clearly Maddox was concerned with my lack of relationship experience.

'So... what's going on between you and my little sister?'

'What do you mean Mad? Were hanging out'

'Don't pretend like I didn't see her plant lips on you at the mall...'

'We're getting closer that's all... for now anyways. I guess you would have found out sooner enough but I really like her Mad. She does things to me that no one ever ha...'

'STOP RIGHT THERE! I don't want to hear about the things my sister stirs inside you... too much info brother'

'No dickhead not like that... she just helps me get through things and she kinda understands what's going on in my head. I like that'

'Hmm... I swear to god Callahan if you hurt her I will rip you to shreds...'

How could he even think I would hurt her in anyway... I had no idea.
I watched the light of the stars outside through the cream coloured curtains as they casted a soft glow over the room. I felt Lennox's arms wrap tighter around me as he let out a small sigh.
Waking up to her was the best part of my day. She looked beautiful in her sleep, even more beautiful as soon as her bright blue eyes fluttered open.

Ever since the shooting we'd slept in the same bed every night, just enjoying each other's company.
She brought a sense of peace into my soul that I welcomed gratefully. I relished the feeing of her tiny arms around me.

This was my happy place, I thought as I placed a soft kiss to her forehead before my eyes fell shut.

"Please stop... please just leave me alone!"
"LEAVE ME ALONE!"

The screams woke me up immediately, slightly disoriented as I noticed the emptiness beside on on the bed.
I looked around the darkened room frantically searching for Blondie as I heard her cries.

I saw her in the corner, hands pulling on her scalp desperately as tears streamed down her face.
I threw myself out of bed, chucking the heavy duvet across the room and ran to her.

"Baby" I said to her calmly as I knelt down to her level, taking her shaking hands in mine.
"Baby you're okay, you're safe" I said again as she didn't acknowledge my presence in front of her, engrossed in her troubled mind.

"Please don't hurt me anymore I can't take it" she mumbled and pushed me away.

"Lennox it's me, it's Chaos. No one is going to hurt you.
I could never hurt you"
