Chapter 17

Under Chiron's permission, Percy and Annabeth and Jason and Piper set out to give the gods a visit.

"600th floor please." Percy said.

"Did you book an appointment?" the guy behind the counter said lazily.

"Nope. But its urgent." Annabeth countered.

"Fine. You know the way I suppose."

The demigods nodded.

Percy was glad they finally updated the music. It didn't sound so boring and stupid anymore.

Ding!

"Woah. Could never get used to it." Jason gasped.

They walked towards the throne room.

Percy pushed open the giant double doors.

Zeus, Poseidon, Athena, Aphrodite, Demeter, Hermes and Hestia (at her place near the hearth) were there. Ares, Hephaestus, Apollo, Artemis and Hera (Her Bovine Majesty) were probably off somewhere.

It was noisy as ever in there. Zeus and Poseidon were yelling at each other, something along the lines of Mother obviously thinks I'm better than you and Seas are cooler than skies. Demeter was muttering loudly about cereal and Hades and Persephone. Aphrodite had was cooing occasionally, looking into a mirror and Athena was reading something, occasionally yelling "KEEP QUIET ALL OF YOU!" Hermes was also talking loudly; to George and Martha. Hestia was the only one quiet, simply smiling at her spot.

All the noise and chaos were silenced as the gods and goddesses spotted the demigods.

"Jupiter." Jason greeted.

"Zeus. Dad. Everyone." Percy nodded.

Poseidon looked confused. "Who are you?"

"Wait!" Annabeth interrupted. "You guys don't know?"

"Don't know what?" Zeus boomed.

"I'm Annabeth Chase." Annabeth introduced.

Athena's forehead crinkled. She leaned forward.

"You're a male."

The gods there have all their eyes on the four demigods now.

"I am Piper McLean. The Seven and demigods at Camp Half Blood are starting to switch genders."

"Daughter?" Aphrodite leaned forward. She eyed the four demigods and giggled. "Oh! I can imagine the bonding between all the couples now knowing that they've switched into their partner's genders."

"Mom..." Piper groaned.

"Hermes, did you do it? Was it a prank? Aphrodite, was it a love plan?" Zeus turned to the god of pranks.

"No. Honestly. I've got no time for it!" Hermes exclaimed.

"Why am I being accused?" Aphrodite raised her eyebrow.

"Is it something we should be concerned about? Will it affect the world? I wouldn't like to imagine all my merman's becoming mermaids and vice versa." Poseidon chipped in.

"I doubt it will go as far as affecting the whole world." Athena grumbled. "And it probably won't affect us. Unless the person is looking to be incinerated and thrown into Tartarus or the Fields of Punishment."

The four demigods shuddered.

"Its not that much of a matter so we can't help you." Zeus commanded.

"But the entire camp is going to be in another gender! It should be viewed as a crisis." Jason cried.

"Hey, it's another translation of they don't know what to do Sparky." Piper whispered.

Athena seemed to have guessed what Piper was telling Jason.

"Its just new." she said evasively. "Besides, all of you and Chiron can solve it yourselves."

"But Chiron said back in the past there were heroes-" Piper started.

"Drop it. Let's go. They won't help." Annabeth called to Percy and the rest. Percy was talking to Hestia softly at the hearth.

"And we're back to square one." Jason sighed. "Unfortunately." Piper agreed as the four demigods left Olympus.
