Nick walked down into the dining hall, consciously walking to David's usual spot. He always just immediately sat by Jeff's side, it felt weird to go anywhere else.

"What's so amusing?" Blaine asked as Kurt stifled a chuckle.

"Oh, nothing," he said, leaning against his boyfriend.

They knew what he was doing. When one couple did something cute, it set a mood for the others to do the same.

He definitely wasn't going to make it easy on them.

"So, is anyone going home this weekend?" Sebastian asked conversationally.

"Yeah, my parents want to see me today," Wes responded. "I should be leaving soon, but I'll be back before dinner."

-

"Wes?" Nick hadn't missed the apprehension in his voice when he talked about going to see his parents. As his sorta-boyfriend for the day, he knew he had to make sure he was okay. He remembered what Wes had said about his parents being homophobic. "You gonna be okay?"

Wes smiled at him weakly through the mirror as he finished taking out a tongue piercing that Nick didn't know he had. "Honestly? I doubt it. They'll definitely grill me on why I don't have a girlfriend yet and nitpick my behavior. If they can justify being mad at me, they will be."

Nick frowned. "I'm sorry. That's awful."

Wes turned to him. "Do me a favor?"

"Of course."

"Don't wait up for me if I come back late. You need your sleep." He nodded and Wes smiled again, giving him a quick kiss. "Wish me luck."
