Pure prince Jungkook

The heart of darkness in kingdom of light *

How bad our beginning of the school year may have been it seemed like our last encounter with the dark prince calmed everything down. The rest of the first semester went on without any crazy incidents or unexpected attacks. Our group was fully back to normal and after a bit of clearing up, both Namjoon and Jackson became our close friends. The school also seemed to have stopped with looking down on them as more often the different elements would stop the Dark mages to ask them questions or show their powers. The fire mages were completely obsessed with Jackson, his cocky attitude and great understanding of his fire powers made him quite popular among them. Some girls of the fire kingdom even seemed to have an eye on him what seemed like Jackson was used to and didn't get too much bothered by it. Plus it was clear that the only female he cared about was Nari but it became clear that both he and Namjoon saw her as a little sister that must be protected at all cost. Namjoon earned his name in the school as well, mostly with the teachers. He became an A-class student who had always his homework done in the best way he possibly could and learned the material given to us pretty quickly. It seemed like he already knew at least a quarter of all the material anyway. It was useful to have him as a close friend as he never turned his back on helping any of us. Jackson and JB seemed to need him the most out of us. The wind and water kingdom seemed to be impressed with him but because of their soft nature, they often didn't have the courage to actually speak to him, even though it happened a couple of times that he leaned a helpful hand to some of them in class what they were most grateful for. Julia, Jimin's sister wasn't very happy with how well the dark mages started to fit into our school. She and her couple of sun friends were determined to show them in a bad light whenever they got the chance but often failed. Also, the topic of Nari and I seemed to have died out or at least the rest didn't bother to comment on it anymore. Taehyung and Jimin would still give me sometimes a look when they would catch me staring at her but I shake them off by saying I was just fascinated by her power, it was clear that they never believed me.

With the first semester ending our first small break was coming closer. We all had the choice to spend two weeks back in our kingdoms or stay at school and enjoy our free time here. Taehyung, Jimin and I were excited to go back. It's been a minute since we had time to spend some time together in my father's castle, I missed Apolo so much and couldn't wait to finally ride with him into the sunrise. I told JB that he can come with us as well. His father wasn't always fond of my family but I didn't blame him, father can give off an arrogant vibe sometimes but after a bit of talking JB was allowed to join us this break. In all the excitement we didn't catch it that Nari and her two by wrote brothers often went quiet when we would talk about the break. By one of our study sessions in the school library, Jimin had finally noticed.

"What are you guys going to do in the break? Are you going home?" Nari didn't lift her head up from her book and continued to write. Namjoon looked back at us with a forced smile. "We would love to but it makes no sense for us. Two weeks here is two days in our world. We would arrive there, stay the night, and had to go back to be back here on time. We will probably just stay here enjoying our night with the moon and sleep through the days. That's how our ancestors often used to live unless they knew that they would be doing something with the other kingdoms. I'm sure that the Royal Mage won't have anything against it as long we will be able to function normally after the break is over." My eyes landed on Nari who seemed to ignore the whole conversation. "Maybe you all should come with us. You seem to be able to get normally around the school why shouldn't you be able to do the same in our kingdom?" I suggested. Nari's pencil fell. "Jungkook, I love how optimistic you are but you're trying to bring three dark mages into the Sun Kingdom and its castle. Only your family knows the true story, can you imagine what your people will think when their pure prince will bring to them people they see as monsters? I don't wanna ruin your beautiful view but from everybody here the kingdom that has the most trouble seeing us as normal is yours. The only people from the Sun Kingdom that gave us a chance are you four. I don't want to bring you or your father into trouble with your people. I know how important it is." She slowly licked her lips and looked down at her book again, both Namjoon and Jackson didn't dare to say anything and continued to read their homework. "They don't give you three a chance because Julia is setting them up against you. I'm sure that if the royal family will stand behind you the kingdom will have a more opened minded view on you." Jimin took the words out of my mouth and Taehyung followed. "How about we ask Jungkook's dad about this? I'm sure he knows what's the best for his kingdom and will gladly tell us if it's possible for you to come with us. I mean, wouldn't it be great for you three to see more than just this school? To be able to come back here again you will need some more than just a school filled with students to back you up. Why not start with showing the Sun Kingdom how you really are? If you tackle the worst one first the rest shouldn't be so scary. Plus I'm sure the Fire kingdom will already hear a lot good about you as the two princes are head over heels when it comes to Jackson. The younger one often tries to copy him what's both extremely cute and funny." I looked at Nari again a long sigh came out of her as she seemed to have given up. "Fine, ask your dad but if he says no there is no trying to win him over or explaining." She looked straight at me. I just quickly nod my head and gave her a smile. "Let's do it right away. Around this time he should be in the garden just enjoying the sun so he should have time to talk to us." I didn't wait for anyone's answer and just made a ball of light on the table. "Show me, my dad." The ball cleared up and my father's relaxed face showed in it. "Dad!" It made him jumped as his face quickly turned to the orb. "Jungkook you scared me. What is it?" "We have a question" I answered him showing him every one that was with me. He greeted them and they him. "We wanted to know if it's a good or a bad idea to bring the dark mages back with us to the Sun Kingdom for our break. They can't go back home as its a too short period of time so we thought that they could maybe see a bit more of our world and go with us." My father's face sank a bit I expected the worse and it was clear that Nari did as well as the look on her face wasn't very happy. A quite long moment of silence fell as we all waited for his answer. "This might be a tricky decision." He started. "But maybe it would be good to introduce them to our people. The mage had informed me that the other kingdoms start to be very fond of them just our people still seem to have some trouble. Maybe with a bit of our help, they would have it easier to accept them, plus it would be a great learning experience for them." It seemed like my dad was talking to himself as he stared off into the sky just his hand softly rubbing his chin. "Alright then. The Dark mages are welcome to join you for the break. I will share this news with the kingdom today so they can prepare and think through it before your arrival." A soft 'yes' sounded from both of my sides as Jimin, JB, and Taehyung cheered happily. The dark mages, on the other hand, seemed anxious. "Alright dad, thank you so much." We shared a smile and the orb vanished. "See? Even the king thinks it's a good idea." Taehyung said quickly to them but none of them answered and just returned to their books. We shared a glance at each other but it seemed like we all understood that we probably put a lot of pressure on them with this, and so not trying to make things worse we all went quiet and ended our work.
