After all this time...

After three years of being together with moments such as getting a cat, which was a huge milestone in our relationship because he's our little baby, a marriage proposal in the clothing shop we met at with him wearing the very cute pineapple shirt I told him to get that day, which was very cute (and the retailers gave us 50% off our next purchase, which was amazing), a couple of bad fights with one almost ending with a break up, even though it was over something incredibly stupid, we're finally getting married.

Well, actually, there is no 'getting' about it. We're already married and it was beautiful. We did it outside on the beach so neither of us had to wear any shoes (mainly because I still believe heels will be the death of me). I'm also glad that it was sunny and not windy. Can you imagine the amount of sand that would get into people's eyes? That would be a nightmare and the photo's would not turn out great at all. I also could not have asked for a better bride's maid. Y/F/N stopped me from having a full on panic and instead reminded me to not focus on the wedding, but the person I will be spending the rest of my life with, which actually helped a lot. Overall, it was a very smooth wedding.

But that could all change with the reception. Just in time for Joe's speech. This oughta be good.

"Hello, everyone. Thank you all for coming here tonight, it really means a lot to us. Especially people who had to fly all the way here, we know flights aren't cheap, but we thank you. Before I get to beginning the greatest speech anyone here has ever heard, Y/N, I just have one question for you." He turns his body towards me, but still remains close to the microphone so everyone can hear him and I raise my eyebrows at him. "Do these pants make my butt look big?" He turns around, lifting his suit jacket up a bit and pokes his butt out, giving me a perfect view of his ass, making me and the crowd laugh.

"Immensely!" I shout.

"Perfect." He says, turning back towards the microphone, dropping his suit jacket, earning even more of a laugh. "That was the very first thing I asked you on the day we met. And I could tell from the moment you didn't run away from me, that you and I were going to be great together.

"When we got our first cat together," he continued, "I knew we were in it for the long haul. But fuck, that cat has some jealousy issues or something. Every time he would see us together, he literally makes it his mission to get in between us. And of course he lets Y/N pat him, but as soon as I go near him when it's not on his terms, he starts growling and hissing at me.

"And then there was the first time all our friends came over to our house warming, but I couldn't wait for everyone to leave as soon as they arrived, just so I could get Y/N alone and-"

"Joe, there are kids here." I cut him off with a warning tone, slightly panicked.

"Well, you guys will know what I mean. To my beautiful, sexy wife who isn't afraid to look at my butt in public. I am so glad to finally be married to you. Everyone raise your glasses to Y/N!" Everyone raises their glasses and whooped as he walks back over to me, leans over my seat and kisses me on the lips. But now it's my turn to make a speech. Joe helps me up from my seat and I make my way over to the microphone, my shaky hands the only sign of how nervous I am.

"Now, I know it's not traditional for the bride to make a speech, but then again, when have we ever been traditional?" I look at Joe, sending him a little smile and my nerves immediately leave when he smiles back. "After all, who is it that takes care of all the spiders in the house while he does anything in his power to avoid them. By the way," I say to the crowd, "if anyone wants to see some videos of John screaming at a spider, come and find me afterwards." I look back at Joe, sending him a little wink while he glares and shakes his head at me, but I can still see an amused smile on his face, so I know I haven't gone too far. Yet. "I love you, honey."

"Yeah right." He says sarcastically, laughing.

"But now since we're married and your stuck with me, I think it's time for me to tell you everything that I think about you. From the moment I met you, I thought you were absolutely weird, but back then, I didn't realize how weird you actually are. You sometimes snore so loudly that I can't even get to sleep, and you can also be so incredibly loud sometimes-"

"Y/N, there are kids here." Joe interrupts, making me roll my eyes while everyone laughs.

"Not that kind of loud, Joe. But then again, you are also loud then too. But I wouldn't change any of that for the world because you are also the kindest, sweetest man I have ever met and you have never failed to put a smile on my face and make me laugh." Looking into Joe's eyes from where I stand, I say; "I love you so much Joe. To my wonderfully weird husband!" I lift my glass up, causing everyone else to do that same. "What can I end with saying but finally."
