"Kailan ka pa umuwi galing Amber Hills?" Shanti asked as we walked along the corridors. He's unsually talkative pero who am I to judge?

"Kahapon lang. Franz went here earlier than me, ewan ko anong trip niya." I shrugged.

"I heard his cousin's also there in Amber Hills, nakita mo na ba sila?"

I creased my forehead trying to remember but I ended up shaking my head.

"Nope."

"Wait, your the childhood friend." He pointed out.

"Yeah, but, Franz' always away during vacations. He says na pumupunta siya sa Highmont. Nandun siguro yung cousins niya."

"Oh... speak of the devil."

"Are you guys dating?" He said, binatukan naman siya ni Shanti.

"Hell no." Shanti said and glared at Franz.

"Never in my entire life would I imagine myself dating Shanti, dude what the hell." I narrowed my eyes at him.

He shrugged, "Okay. Anyways, malapit na birthday ko. My annoying cousins would be there and I got no choice so yeah, see yah!" And with that he waved his hands at us.

Nagkatinginan kami ni Shanti at sabay kaming nagkibit balikat.

Weirdo.

I yawned during our Foreign Language subject, I get it, sinakop tayo ng mga Espanyol but why do we need to study Spanish again?

ringgg... ringgg...

I gulped.

Lahat sila nakatingin sa akin, pati nadin si Ma'am.

"Hehe, excuse me po muna." I said and went out and answered the call without looking at the caller.

But my heart immediately sank when I heard the words coming from the caller.

Shit.

"M-monetelegre, Dexter G-gaven po..." I said with my shaking hands. Hell, I travelled 30 minutes and my hands are still shaking! Tangina Gaven umayos ka.

My tears were falling non-stop na kahit nung nasa bus ako pinagtitingnan nila ako.

Kinakaawaan.

I bit my lip as the nurse looked through her computer.

Every second, mas bumibilis ang tibok ng puso ko.

Hindi ako mapakali.

I don't care if may suprise quiz or suprise template kami na gagawin. Come hell or high water, I'll never leave my family's side.

Especially my brother.

"Nasa ICU po siya--"

"Thanks!" I said as I ran towards the ICU.
