Lilly's POV

My eyes fluttered open. I looked around the room and saw my moms eyes widened. My ears felt like they were ringing and I didn't hear her but then doctors came in the room.

The ringing slowly came to a stop and I tried to take a breath in but felt like I was choking. Doctors were working quickly and the tube was out of my throat. I took a slow breath.

"Don't try to talk for a few minutes." The nurse said to me. I nodded and slowly closed my eyes. That's when the memories flooded my brain.

My eyes shot open and I looked around panicking. I tried to lean up but a doctor restrained me. "Calm down. You are safe. You've been in a coma for about a three and a half weeks." The nurse calmed me down.

"I'm going to talk to her doctor and he'll be in here shortly." The nurse said slowly letting me go. Tears stormed my eyes. My mom and Matt looked at each other.

I could tell they didn't know what to do. Before they could speak I did. "Taylor?" I asked. My voice was low and raspy. "She's n-" Matt started but my mom cut in. "She's okay." She said looking at Matt sternly.

Before I could said anything else a doctor walked in. "I'm going to check her vitals." He said. He walked around me checking screens and my pulse. "Push my hands down." He instructed. I put my hands to him and tried to push but I wasn't very strong. "Okay can you wiggle your toes?" He asked. I did and he nodded at me.

"Okay were gonna keep an eye on you for the next two days then we'll send you on your way. I'd recommend a therapist. I have a few different programs I can share with you when your ready to make that decision. For now I'm going to give her another dose of pain meds so it doesn't wear off." He said before pushing something in my IV.

"Thank you Mark." My mom said. He nodded at her and walked away. I was in my moms hospital.

"Can I see Taylor?" I asked. Matt looked at mom. "She's not here. She went into an emergency surgery, it'll be a few hours." Mom explained to me. I took a breath as tears rushed to my eyes again. How could she still be struggling to stay alive.

"I'll call Samantha tho and tell her the rest of your friends can come." Matt said walking out. "Can I have some water?" I asked through my tears. My mom rushed out and was back in less than a minute.

She held the straw for me. I took a drink as I tried to calm myself down. Everything was flashing through my head like a movie. "What all happened to me?" I asked.

"Nobody knows what happened to you. I just know the injuries you got. Your hands were badly burned. They're healing good tho. You broke you leg, that's healing, you had surgery on it as soon as you came in. You should get out of that cast in a week or two. Your face swelled up but it's mostly down. Your ribs were fractured but that already healed, they'll be sore tho." My mom said.

I nodded. That's all I wanted to know. Matt walked back in. "They're all coming." Matt said. "Can I see myself?" I asked. Mom scrambled in her purse like a maniac and pulled a mirror out.

My eyes were red on the bottom, like blood was about to drip out instead of tears. It looked like I had eyeliner applied perfectly and my left cheek was swollen but other than that I looked like myself.

"They think you fell when trying to climb a rope and hit your head hard and that's why your eyes are like that." Mom explain. I nodded. "What is today than?" I asked.
"Friday, January the seventeenth." Mom said.

I'd need to go shopping soon. Tyler's birthday is February the fifteenth. I smiled lightly of the thought I'd get to see my friends soon, I bet they were worried.
