"Kamiki, are you alright?" Ashiya asked as I clung to him. I looked up at him and saw that he was in his demon form. I looked at him a little shocked and stepped away from him.

"I'm fine. But what happened to you? How are you in that form?" I replied.

"I am not entirely sure. It just happened." Ashiya answered.

"I wonder if it happened to Maou too." I wondered before glancing around at the scene around us.

The only thing around us was rubble. There was only a small area that wasn't completely filled with rubble, which was where me and Ashiya were at. I had grabbed onto Ashiya when the ceiling collapsed so I wasn't alone when everyone was separated by the rubble.

"How are we going to get out of here?" I asked.

"We'll find a way. Though, I need to find His Majesty." Ashiya said before he moved over to the rubble and used his magic to move the rock.

"You can use your magic too?" I asked.

"Yes, it seems as though I can." Ashiya answered. "Follow me, we need to get out of here."

I followed Ashiya as he moved or destroyed rubble that was in our way. We didn't know exactly where we were going and we were just walking around to try to find an exit. It was weird for Ashiya to have his magic and everything back, but me not have it. I'm not really sure how he even got his magic back, but whatever was causing it wasn't effecting me and I really wanted to know why.

"Hey Ashiya." I said after at least 10 minutes of us walking around. "I think we're going in circles."

Looking around, everything looked pretty much the same. But I think we were walking through the same areas because Ashiya didn't have to use his magic to get rid of as much rubble now.

Ashiya looked around before muttering, "There is no way that we've been going in circles... Is there?"

"Maybe we should go that way." I suggested, pointing in a different direction than the one we were going in.

Ashiya was silent as he stared in the direction I was pointing for a minute before he walked that way and started making a path in that direction.

We walked in that direction for a while. I, for some reason, found it a little unsettling that we didn't run into any people while we were walking around. It was probably just because of where we were, but I couldn't help being a little worried about it.

I think it took us about 20 minutes for us to find an exit. When we finally did, there were a ton of police cars and ambulances outside.

"We must find His Majesty." Ashiya stated, as we walked around the corner. When we did, we saw Maou and Emilia, who was walking away. Ashiya ran over to Maou and kneeled in front of him. "I am so sorry, Sire! Not only did I let Emilia near you, but I also failed to realize the enemy was closing in on us! How can I ever apologize?"

"Quit crying. We're going home." Maou said to Ashiya before he turned to me. "Neither of you are hurt, right?"

"Yeah, I'm fine." I answered. "I was just a little shocked... And scared..."

"You even graciously inquire over my welfare!" Ashiya replied, jumping onto Maou and clinging to him

"Don't cling to me like that! Its creepy! Cut it out!" Maou yelled. I laughed at their interaction. Seeing Ashiya act like this was really amusing, since usually most people wouldn't think he would be one to act like that, based on the way he acts other times.

Soon, we started our walk home.

"Sire, please punish me!" Ashiya pleaded. He'd been complaining about this the entire walk, which made it feel a lot longer than it really was

"I told you, just forget about it. You helped Kamiki so it's not like you didn't do anything." Maou replied.

"Yeah! I would've never made it out of there without you!" I added.

"But I wasn't able to help you, Sire." Ashiya complained.

"Can I have a word with you?" Two police officers rode their bikes up to us and stopped just next to us. One of the officers got off their bike and walked over to us, while the other just stayed on his bike.

He stood with his back facing us as he spoke, "You guys are with an acting troupe, right?" He asked.

I tilted my head at what he said, "What?" Maou and Ashiya were just as confused.

"I used to want to be an actor, so I understand." The officer said as he turned. "But no practicing your lines on the sidewalk. I'm sure it's tough selling ticket quotas, but keep working at it."

"What's a ticket quota?" I asked Maou in a whisper as the officer walked past us.

Maou shook his head and the officer continued, "Maybe this doesn't mean very much from a man who never had his dream come true, but the minute you give us, it's all over."

"Right..." Maou and Ashiya said.

"Oh, and you three should be careful! Their has been a lot of muggings in this area lately, and you really don't want people thinking you're the ones causing them." The officer added before he got back on his bike. Then him and the other officer rode off.

"I didn't really understand what he was saying." I said once the officers were a little ways down the rode.

"Neither did I, but I'm not gonna worry about it. You shouldn't either. It doesn't really matter either way." Maou said.

While I was trying to figure out exactly what the police officer meant, Ashiya went back to sulking about not being able to protect Maou.

After about a minute or two, we finally started to continue our walk back home.
