It took Sophie a few minutes to calm down. Then she remembered the warm, comforting arms wrapped around her. She looked up. Keefe's handsome face was tilted down towards hers. His eyes were full of concern.

"You okay now Foster?" He asked quietly. Sophie nodded, but couldn't bring herself to leave his gentle embrace. She sighed and rested her head against his chest. The soft beating of his heart was oddly comforting.

"Thanks, Keefe," Sophie said. He smiled.

"You should probably be heading to class now, Foster," Keefe reminded her.   She groaned inwardly when she realized her Telepathy session was next.

"I don't feel ready to face Fitz. Can I stay here with you a little longer?" She asked timidly. Keefe pulled her closer and whispered in her ear,

"Of course." Sophie blushed. Then she leaned back and closed her eyes, enjoying the feeling of his warmth, the minty smell of his breath, and the steady beat of his heart.
