After planning with Fitz, Sophie took off down another hallway. They had decided to split up again to avoid suspicion.

Sophie grinned. This was gonna be great. She would get to eat mallowmelt to her stomach's content and she'd get to see the shock on Keefe's cute face. Wait- no! What was she thinking!? Sophie mentally smacked herself. She decided she must be going crazy from a lack of mallowmelt in her diet. Yes, that was it.

When Sophie made her way back to the kitchen, she found herself in the room with a very tall girl with forest green eyes, raven hair, and tan skin.

"Hi, whoever you are," Sophie said to the girl. To her surprise, her voice came out squeaky and high-pitched. She giggled to herself. She kind of sounded like Sandor.

"Hi," the girl replied with a startlingly husky voice. "Who do you think is gonna win this?" Sophie thought about it. She didn't want to give away anything so she answered,

"It's hard to say." As she finished her sentence, a boy strode into the kitchen. He had amber eyes, wavy chocolate brown hair, tan skin, and a dusting of freckles.

"Hey," the raven-haired girl said. The boy mumbled something in reply. Sophie grinned inwardly. She was pretty sure she knew who this surly boy was.

"I have an idea," the girl said. "Why don't we all come up with different names for ourselves?"

"That's a good idea!" Sophie exclaimed.

"I'll be Evlin ," the girl declared. Sophie realized she should pick a name that one of her other friends would choose. It might throw them off.

"My name is Shore," Sophie said. Hopefully, with a water related nickname, they'd assume she was Linh.

"What about you?" Evlin asked the boy. He was standing in the corner, hunkered over in the shadows.

"I guess my name could be Draven," he shrugged.

"And I'll be Aden," a short boy said confidently, entering the room for the first time. He had blue-green eyes, curly strawberry blond hair, and peaches and cream skin. This boy had a sort of confident, easy-going aura surrounding him. Sophie yet again grinned. This was going to be too easy.

A brown-eyed, black-haired boy and a girl entered behind "Aden". The girl had olive green eyes, wavy dirty blonde hair, and deep, rich skin.

"We were just deciding our new names," Evlin told them after the others introduced themselves. The girl decided on Kelsey, a very human-sounding name. Sophie figured Kelsey was probably pretending to be her. The boy chose Rian.

"Is that everyone," Draven asked impatiently. Sophie realized that Fitz hadn't showed up yet, which was odd. Unless he was trying to trick everyone. Someone who lives at Everglen probably wouldn't get lost, so everyone would assume that he wasn't Fitz. Smart.

The whole challenge was very confusing. Sophie knew one thing for sure. Things were about to get complicated.

A/N Sorry for such a boring chapter. I had to get the descriptions out of the way. And yes, I realize it's probably confusing with the new names. But without them they'd just be called things like "black-haired girl" and "tall boy with deep voice". I promise that things will be cleared up soon. Can you tell who anyone is yet?
