Aftermath of War

Moon's POV

"I can't believe you!"

"What!?"

"You have the nerve to tell Delta what she can and can't do!"

"I just want to make sure she knows what she's doing!"

"She's almost sixteen she can decide for herself who she can and can't like!"

"Fine! So I was wrong! But, you..."

"Oh! What about me?"

"You pick every little detail about me to shout at me for!"

"Well, maybe I'm yelling at you, Streak, because you've been a Muttonhead lately!"

"Maybe I've been a muttonhead because I'm stressed, Dawn!"

"Just SHUT UP!!!!" I yelled at them, finally tiring of their argument. The turned and glared at me. I felt their anger bubble even more. "We are all stressed! But, we need to hold together. Hiccup would never want us to be like this. He'd want mom to be happy again. He'd want you two to stop fighting. He'd just want us to remember the good times, celebrate his life, by happy again. So STOP!"

This was the new regular, Mom was hiding in her cave and spending more time in it. Dawn and Streak were constantly fighting. And I realize now that Hiccup and Toothless had always been a buffer between them. That with them gone there was nothing to stop them from fighting.

"You two figure all this out," I said while gesturing at them with my wings, "I'm going to go talk to mom."

I walked out.

Mist's POV

Eclipse was out on patrol which always made me nervous especially after what happened to my parents.

I was fidgetting around near where the Thunderdrums come up when I saw Thornado, Whirlwing, and Warcry pop up.

"Hey, I thought you three were out scouting for a month."

"We were, but we found this nearly dead Night Fury and came back immediately," Warcry explained while the other two pulled a Night Fury onto dry land. A male Night Fury.

"He looks hurt," I said and pointed at how lifeless he looked.

"Well, he was nearly drowned when we found him." Said, Thornado.

I realized that a small circle of dragons had formed around us and had begun to grow bigger.

Whispers had begun to go through the crowd. I was about to tell them to go continue with their lives when Eclipse flew down. "Mist! I'm back!" She said in a sort of sing-song voice. She then spotted the Night Fury. "Oh. My. Goodness! Who is he? How long has he been here?" I felt a pang of jealousy as she continued rambling on about the Night Fury "Does he have a mate? He's handsome!"

Then the Night Fury opened an eye. "Oi! Everybody, give him some space!"

Cleary the Night Fury didn't understand because he immediately went on the defensive, "Where am I? Who are you? What do you want from me?" A Snifflehunch started coming closer, "STAY BACK! Don't come any closer." Eclipse didn't head his order because she continued to try to get closer, Moonbrain, "I am prepared to shoot you if you take another step closer!" He said and twisted towards me and Eclipse and he indeed had a blast ready and growing.
