Kory drove all night, well what was left of the night util morning had came. We were in Killdeer, Ohio, edging closer to Angela's home. My gaze was out of the tinted window taking in the sight, but there was hardly anything here. It was like a waste land to be honest.

Kory pulls up to the house which was a quaint, needed a paint job and maybe a fix or two. But she hasn't been here in five-years so I'll let her off. The truck quakes to a stop and everyone began to jump out of the car. I opened the door and leapt from the small height, followed by Gar and Rachel. Once they got out, they stood next to me, looking around.

"Cool," Gar replies coming to look back at the house. I see Angela go up the steps of the porch, as Kory and Rachel closed the doors. Gar was on Angela's tail and I his, Gar was being nosy and stuck his face to the window to have a look inside. Angela had found a spare key inside a flower-pot that was under the window. She goes over to the door and inserts the key, her gaze went to Rachel for a moment, smiling at her, before twisting the key and opening the door.

"Come in," she states to us, but Kory caught my eye, she was at the porch steps, holding her head. I turn my body around to face her, holding my book tight to my chest.

"Kory?" I ask as she rose her gaze to meet mine.

"What?" She asks, wondering what I was going to ask her, but I feel the floor board creek behind me and felt Rachel at my side in moments.

"Are you ok?" Rachel asks, but Kory's gaze on us turned away, and she shook her head, not wanting to admit that she wasn't.

"Something's wrong with me. My head. What happened at the asylum, it just..." Kory began as Rachel and I crept forward to her, coming to the edge of the porch steps. "I don't know," Kory couldn't explain what it felt like, because she had no idea. She took a deep breath, finding it hard right now, I could even see her eyes water up.

"If your brain is hurt," Rachel begins, trying to come up with a solution to Kory's problem. "Maybe I can heal it, like I heal wounds," her voice was soft, and meaningful. Kory smiles at her, while holding back her tears. "It might even bring your memory back," Kory chuckles at her response, but I don't know if it was because she was happy to have help or something else. It was hard to get a reading off of Kory sometimes. She might have a tough exterior and a cold shoulder sometimes, but deep down she has a big heart.

"I don't think it works that way, Rachel," Kory states shaking her head.

"Well, there's only one way to find out, right?" She counters Kory, making me smile at her.

"She's right. Don't know if you don't try," I smiled at them both as Kory came up the steps and we all walked inside the house together. Rachel had quickly told Gar and he Mother what she was going to do, but I blocked out the conversation. Kory went straight to the couch and Rachel had sat in front of her, on the coffee table. I went over to a column in the house, and leaned on that, my eyes focused on Rachel and Kory.

"Do you have any idea what you're doing?" Kory asks her, trying to ease her into this or trying to make Kory feel a bit better about this not going wrong.

"None," Rachel replied bluntly but in a soft voice, making it sound so effortless.

"Ok," Kory spoke while she chuckled. "Yeah, let's give it a try," she went on, totally nervous as it was clear as day. Rachel began to raise her hand towards Kory's face, in a slow suspense manner.

"And if anything starts to hurt, let me know," Rachel states, she was so thoughtful and kind.

"Ok," Kory replied softly, as Rachel advances connecting one hand on her temple, before raising the other hand to the other side. Her eyes closed as she began to concentrate on healing Kory's mind. After a few moments, nothing seemed to happen to Kory.
