COLD HEARTS

CHAP 3

Zhao Xin Ci was attending a customer meeting but his mind was completely absent. Yunlan was making some weird movement from time to time to draw his attention until he came to deliver his speech on the company's new work platform.

Xin Ci stood brilliantly and presented his speech where he convinced everyone that the new platform would improve the company's progress and change the way of working to be easier and faster.

This made Yunlan surprised when he thought his uncle was completely absent minded from the meeting unusually of him to be spacing out during work. He got all the positive votes to start implying the new platform as soon as possible.

After spending hours in the big conference room, the meeting ended as wished and everyone was satisfied and happy when they were leaving to attend lunch, Yunlan just excused himself to go back to his department.

"You old man, you keep on surprising me" He took his uncle on the side and talked for a while asking him, how he looked so out when he is all in before Xin Ci leaves with the delegation.

"That's what we call being professional, you still have a long way to learn my dear" Xin Ci's eyes looked sad, he somehow was distracting his mind with so much work.

"Shall we drink later?" Asked Xin Ci.

"Sorry uncle, I have a date with Zhu, I finish early today so let us drink the night" Yunlan rushed to his office when they called him for an emergency.

He went there quickly as his face was wearing a severe fury expression. He has no mercy when it comes to work. He quickly gathered his team and tried to learn what happened.

Fear and anxiety loomed over the place after one of the employees resigned without finishing his duties or a prior notification, leaving behind a huge chaos and complaints sent by the clients he interviewed during this week.

"That bastard, what was the reason he does that?" Shouted Yunlan in the meeting room at his team when he hates any inconveniences that may occur to ruin his peaceful smooth work.

"You all are responsible here, why didn't you find a new one quickly, coming here whining to me. Aren't we supposed to find solutions rather than panic and be scared?" He couldn't accept a waisted time of his work.

"How many customers have sent their complaints letters?" He suddenly calmed looking into the matter quickly, when his assistant showed him the emails and was about 4 of them.

"I will deal with them, put a job announcement for a sale associate position and don't put any qualifications, I will be interviewing them myself. From now on I will choose who stays and who leaves" he glared at his employees with fierce eyes.

This was the kind of character Yunlan had. No kindness or jokes when it comes to work even he can't recognise his own loved ones. Zhu stepped in and the team had a sense of relief.

Whenever his fiancee visits him it means he will be absent for a period of time. And finally they could breath again and work happily without too much pressure.

"Babe, are you busy?" Zhu was an elegant lady very kind and beautiful. All the women working there envied how the two suited eachother and looked so gorgeous together, he was too handsome and she was so pretty.

Yunlan's features suddenly changed into happiness and joy. He stood up to kiss his fiancee's cheek and welcome her as he quickly ended the meeting to devote her alone.

"You look splendid" Yunlan and Zhu drunk hot tea before they visited his grandfather office. The two left afterwards to their special date.

Meanwhile Shen Wei was opening his laptop and looking for a job. He hated himself the moment he learnt about what his brother did to repay the debts when he kept crying over a mare break up.
