"You still think we can be allies with these guys?"  Astrid whispered to Hiccup quietly.  "Yes, actually."  He replied.  "Ok, so here's what I'm thinking.  They're bringing us to the Nest, right?  The Nest of -"  "Dragons."  Astrid finished.  "Exactly.  So I'm going to go in there and train those dragons and prove to them once and for all that we're not dragon hunters."  Hiccup explained.  "Are you sure it'll work?"  I asked him.  "I'm betting my life on it."  Hiccup said.  "You're betting ALL our lives on it."  Astrid amended for him.

We got to a ledge and stopped.  Mala turned toward us.  "We protect the dragons as they protect us.  We accept their judgment as they accept ours.  Step forward and receive that judgment."  Hiccup stepped forward.  "I'm the leader, I'll go first."

"Please, by all means.  Even though you're not the leader, you should go first."  Snotlout said.

"So he can train any dragon?"  I asked.  "Except for a few,"  Astrid explained.  "Scauldrons, Whispering Deaths, Changewings..."

Hiccup was pushed to the ledge.  "And Speed Stingers."

Hiccup was shoved inside.  He leaped over Speed Stinger tails and used bones to guard himself against their slashing attack.  He quickly got cornered, but a Night Fury leaped over our heads and landed in front of him.  He used his tail to smack the Speed Stingers away and roared at them, making them run off in fright.

Heather and Astrid nodded at each other and grabbed their guards' spears, pointing it at their guards.  Fishlegs and Snotlout took out their guards, and Snotlout grabbed the spear.  "Thank you very much."

Throk approached me with a bigger-than-necessary axe.  I backed away, so he approached Hiccup, who was on the Night Fury, with it when they leaped up in front of Mala.  Mala whirled towards the others and drew her sword.  "Surrender!"

A Deadly Nadder flew up in front of Astrid, spikes ready to fire.  Frostflake (hurray!) jumped in front of me and roared at Throk.  "Yeah, I'm thinking no,"  Astrid said, pointing the spear at her.

"Mala you have to ask yourself, would these dragons risk their lives to help us if we were dragon hunters?"  Hiccup reasoned.  Mala looked away.  "You said you accepted the judgment of the dragons.  So, accept the judgment of our dragons!  We are not the enemy."

"Release him,"  Mala ordered.  "My queen -"  Throk started.  "The dragon judged him innocent Throk, release him."  She turned to us.  "Release them all."

Hiccup approached Astrid.  "See?  Told you it would work."
