Gruffnut had been around for a day or two, but it didn't really affect Frostflake and me.

At least, not until Ruffnut came up to me while I was sitting by the lake during Frostflake's nap.

"Kiara!  I just saw Gruffnut go into your hut, alone, by himself, with nobody with him."  Ruffnut said.  I got up.  "Are you sure he was alone?"  I asked.  "YES!  Now come on, hurry!"  We rushed up to my hut.  When I opened the door Gruffnut was mere inches away from sleeping Frostflake.

"Gruffnut?"  I asked, confused.  My hand landed on a silver Gronkle Iron sword I had made with a dark oak handle and three small sapphires on either side of the handle in a vertical pattern.

Frostflake's eyes popped open and she got up with a growl, cornering the twins' cousin.  "Easy girl,"  I said lightly, walking up and gentle running my hand over her head.  "Ha!  Gotcha,"  Ruffnut said.

Gruffnut shrugged with a sigh.  "Yes, you did, I just couldn't help but look at this marvelous tail!  It's like something I've never seen before!"  He cried, suddenly showing extreme interest in Frostflake's tail.

Frostflake growled and swung her tail around.  I translated the message for him.  "Maybe if she used it on you you wouldn't suddenly be so fascinated in it."  Frostflake hissed.

"Gruffnut, there you are!  We were going to play Wrestle the Boar, remember?"  Tuffnut said from the doorway.

Frostflake backed up in surprise.  "Well, uh, yes, I'm afraid I've gotta go,"  Gruffnut said, smoothly slipping away.  "Aw, sorry Ruff, I only brought two boars,"  Tuffnut said.  "Maybe next time."

I glanced at Ruffnut when they left.  "Let's keep an eye on him,"  I suggested.  Ruffnut nodded with narrowed eyes.  "Uh-huh."
