Sabina

Another week is gone, making three weeks and exam is approaching and Malika is still not back home, I miss her so much, we all missed her.

Bang bang!

I was watching 'flip it like disick on E! entertainment when I heard a knock at the door,

I hurried to the door and opened to see Malika standing with her head facing the floor , without hesitating I hugged her,

we have been going to hauwa's house to bring her home but she refused saying she needs time to get her mind right first,

she released herself from the hug and went to their room without saying anything to me, leaving me wondering if she's here to reconcile or something

but her action right now confuses me but few weeks is gone and I won't let this go on, amber has been acting up lately and I'm sure it's because of Malika,

she's her childhood friend after all and I can't sit back and let our friendship break apart.

I followed her to the room and she was sitting on the bed, her face in her palm "I'm sorry Malika, I really am sorry" I said with teary eyes "get out!" she yelled not looking up, I sat down beside and hugged her "I'm sorry Malika,

I would never do this intentionally" I said already in tears "I loved him Sabina, he should have picked up once and tell me he doesn't love me anymore,

he left Lagos without a word, leaving me pondering on what i did wrong, that day i came back from school happily, only that he Left,

do you have any idea how that feels ' she cries "I'm sorry" was all I could say "what am I supposed to do Sabina, he's dating my best friend Sabina, even though my heart feels better now, I still feel uncomfortable" she cries

"it's not your fault Malika" I said and her respond shocked me "you can date him Sabina, I feel better now since I know how he feels now and he's still my cousin after all so I can't cut ties with him, hope you can trust me"

"I trust you Malika, thank you Malika, thanks" I sobs and amber and Zoya who have been standing at the door walked to us and we had group hug, slowly our cries turns into a laugh,

"I missed you guys" Malika said breaking the hug, "I promised to break your face If you come home so weird I couldn't do it" Zoya said pulling Malika's cheeks

"what did you guys cook, I'm famished" Malika said getting up, "mac and egg sauce with sausage" I said dragging her to the kitchen, I'm beyond excited I have my three best friends back.

Next day.

We are having our last class with mallama ruqqaya by 10am before exams begins, so we woke up really late, that lady don't care if you attend her class or not to be sincere,

we did our normal morning routine, I cooked noodles and boiled eggs while Malika boiled ginger/lemon tea, "I missed you cooking tea walahi" I said "same Sabina" Malika said with a smile,

we finished cooking and took the food to the sitting room, we ate together with amber because she's having class too by 10am, we dressed up and entered school together,

amber head to her department and we head to ours, in the group chat zain said the venue is hall B, but we got there and it was filled with other students, their lecturer gave us this "what are looking for" glare and we sauntered out of the hall laughing "inalilahi did you see his face" Malika said between laughs,

"ahh it's 11:00" I shouted seeing the time on my phone "Zain where's the venue dan Allah" Zoya called Zain and he told her, "hall H" Zoya said, "that's like 10mins walk from here" Malika exclaimed, "what's the point of going anyway" I said "last class remember, area of concentration, attendance, we can't afford to miss that" Zoya said with a serious face,
