I woke up in a familiar bed

I woke up in a familiar bed. It didn't take me long to realize I was laying on spade's bed surrounded by his delicious scent. My head hurt badly as I tried to get up.

"You can't wake her up," I hear Spade's voice from downstairs. I froze, trying to listen in for more. When I wasn't hearing anything, I decided to change into the suit of clothes left on the bed for me since I was still in the oversized jersey that ended at my thighs.

I opened a random cupboard in the bathroom and thankfully found a towel to use. The water felt good against my wounds that were healed slightly. That wolf went deep into my back and shoulder with his claws. My ribs were bruised and slightly in pain but it wasn't that bad since I could still walk.

I changed into the shorts and hoodie and reeked of Spade in a good way and I loved it. Taking a deep breath I prepared myself for what's to come as I opened the door and walked downstairs. They were still downstairs talking, the three of them.

"You don't know her intentions!" King kyston says to his beta. "What do you mean?" He was so confused. "She is a witch, she could use a spell to become your mate," The queen replies him and Spade's face got a tint of red.

"So are you!" He shouts before the three of them notice me. "There isn't no spell to magically become someone's mate," I casually say and step into the kitchen.

His eyes softened as they landed on mine. "Come here," Spade softly say and open his arms. I appreciated his gesture and walked into his arms. Our arms wrapped around each other in comfort and I sighed in relief. It was so early in our relationship and I felt so safe and protected with him.

"You had me so scared," he whispered and hugged me tighter. I wince and he releases. "I'm sorry," he quickly apologized.

"It is okay, I am sorry, I shouldn't have tried to escape," I genuinely apologized. I felt terrible for putting him in this position and having him to go through all of this because of me.

"We'll talk about it later, just don't scare me like that again," he brushed me off, pressing a quick kiss to my forehead. "I won't," I promised before we both turned to the king and queen.

"With all the respect, all we know about you is that you're a rogue, a witch, and my beta's mate," the king tried to reason with me.

"I'm not a rogue," I sighed.

Their eyes widened. "What do you mean?" My mate asked.

"I'm Alpha Rias' daughter of the moonlight pack," I calmly say. Snow was snickering at their reactions. "You're joking," The queen says and I shook my head. I lift up the hoodie and pulled my shorts down at my legs slightly, not showing anything but my moonlight tattoo. "My pack burnt down by some Mexican pack, I was trying to put out the fire but if I did, I would have been killed so my brother made me run instead," I explained.

"Shit," Spade cursed.

"You're his first daughter," Kyston says in disbelief. "Believe it if you want but I'm not going to deal with the death of my pack and being accused of being a filthy rogue," I stood up for myself. "And the witch thing?" The queen asked.

"My mom had no idea what was wrong with me, she couldn't tell no one so while her five-year-old daughter was opening and closing everything without touching it, she spent nights at the library figuring out what was wrong with me, she made me learn spells and read up on my kind as I got older, we had no idea how because nobody else was like me...until I saw you," I explained, looking at her.

"I've been told that only my family there is hybrid witches, it occurs in every second-generation offspring," she explained. My eyebrows furrowed. That made no sense and was clearly untrue.

"How old are you?" I ask her.

"Twenty, you?" She asked back.

"Nineteen," which made her one year older than me. We all remained silent until the queen spoke up again. "Can we just have a DNA test? I'm not calling you my family but I need to know if the legend is true," she said.

I stared at her shocked. She looked scared to confront me about it and nervous at the same time. I definitely knew I wasn't part of her family so why not prove it?

"Sure," I say and leaned into Spade more when my stomach started to hurt again.

"Now can I please go take care of my mate? We can resume this later," Spade suggested, probably realizing I was in pain. The king and queen nodded and before I knew what was happening, he picked me up bridal style and transported me back to his room.

"Can you get on your stomach so I can see the gashes?" He asked softly as he put me on the bed. "Turn around," I say and he obeyed. I took that time to take off the hoodie and lay on my stomach so he could see my back. "Turn around," I said again.

"So the pack doctor just said to put this thingy on it to heal the process. I asked Ky if I could kill Riker for doing this to you and well...he said I needed a better reason," Spade told me and I laughed at the last part.

"Well go ahead," I say. I had a feeling that letting him do this would make him feel better as well.

Spade sat down next to me and paste a cold thick substance onto the wounds. It soothed the wounds and made it feel minty and refreshing. "Thank you," I say and he turns around for me to change back.

"No problem," he replied.

"I'm sorry about your pack and everything, I can't imagine losing everyone. There were a lot of people that are missing, a lot has escaped," he frowned as he pitied me. I did not have enough energy to tell him not to. "I miss them so much," I admit and allowed myself to cry for once. It was too late even if I wanted to stop.

"I would say don't cry but I think you should let yourself to grieve."

"Do you want me to stay or go?" He politely asked.

"Stay," Snow told me to say and I had no idea why I didn't.

"I need some time alone," I wiped my eyes. Spade nods at me in understanding and leaves the room.
